Best hospitality we’ve received thus far. Ridiculously cheap - feels like an actual steal. Hotel had good vibes. We two rooms, both were clean. Had options in room for bedding and bed was firm. Missed our chance for complementary, baked-in-house breakfast and were provided extras in compensation. Arrived late upon check in and our phone booking was lost. We therefore a bit delayed in doing so, but customer service was overall quite positive. Bathroom a little rough cosmetically but with excellent water pressure and temperature. Location is within walking distance for many local businesses, including coffee, grocery, and weekly pop up market.
Feels like the family business it is in the good way.

This is an older establishment. The restaurant is not open at the moment. There is a bar and bakery on the premises and there are housekeeping staff to do daily work for the guests. Rates are reasonable.

We stayed here for a family Wedding. It is close to everything you need to see and do in Leader. The camp ground and pool are right behind the bar.Mel and Bonnie are wonderful hosts. The Bake Shopp had delicious things to offer every morning. The beer was cold and the hospitality was warm. Thank you and see you next time we visit Leader. Liz Edwards and Neil Penner

Room was very small.. The lamp in my room was broken and could not plug it in.. Very Dangerous.. Went to order food from the menu in my room and was told the kitchen had been closed for 4 years. I got 1 free doughnut every morning.. Thx.. Not a good hotel to stay in honestly.. I wish I would have gone to one of the other hotels in leader. . why have a menu for food if the kitchen is closed.. I had to find a store to buy my food at... 70's vintage is how I would describe this place..

Stayed at Leader Inn in June 2023. Room had good beds and fairly new carpeting. Definitely needs a new coat of paint as lots of chips on the walls. Bathroom is very dated and could use a refresh. When we arrived we were informed that they no longer served breakfasts as they had lost their cook.

Traveling through Saskatchewan, we knew we would be ending our day around Leader.A quick internet search revealed only a couple of hotels / motels in Leader that are currently open. This one looked interesting because it appeared to have several businesses inside the hotel. A bakery (with very generous hours), a liquor store, a bar, and the hotel itself.this is definitely a "small town" type of place (and I don't mean that in any kind of negative way... I mean it completely added to our experience!)We found the hotel was easy to find, right on a main street, and the price was very fair for the night.Be forewarned that this is an older building and the hotel rooms are on the second and the third floor and there is no elevator. Our room was more than comfortable with a newer bathroom, a fridge and a microwave and a coffee maker. We were surprised to hear that breakfast was included (you have to be an early riser, it was available from 6:30 until 8:00 a.m.) in the downstairs restaurant and it was a hot meal of coffee, eggs and toast and your choice of bacon/sausage/ham.There's a bakery on the premises with great hours (the day we were there it was open from 7:00 a.m. until 7:30 p.m.) with an amazing array of freshly baked goods. All different kinds of breads and buns, all different kinds of pastries and treats and other specialty items. And in the downstairs lounge there is a bar which is also a liquor store. And they also serve pizza that was made in the on-site bakery. The food and drinks were great, but even better was the company and service of the staff and friendly locals who were more than willing to make a stranger feel welcome. This was a fantastic experience for us, we found everything about the Leader inn and its people to be very welcoming.By the way, Leader is a very interesting town as they have a great collection of roadside attractions featuring local wildlife. You can drive around town to find the various statues, there's also a gigantic Muskoka chair and a replica of a 1914 Smith barn.
