We checked in Friday and checked out Sunday. Had a queen sized bed room and the family room. When we checked in at 4:30pm on Friday they said our family room would be ready in 15 minutes (wasn’t ready until 5:36pm) and the other room they weren’t sure when (got checked in at 6:00pm). We were offered $25 off our rooms and a free drink at the bar. Check in is 3:00pm and this was well beyond that time. We had an okay stay at Manitou Mineral Springs, but there are a few areas that need attention. On the positive side, the check-in process was decent and the hotel was generally clean. We also noticed a significant improvement in the restaurant's food quality—we truly enjoyed our meals!
However, we encountered a few issues:

I was struggling with whether or not I should share my recent experiences with Manitou Springs, and decided that for the safety and well being of future guests, that I absolutely had to. On the first night of my stay, a gentleman on my floor went into cardiac arrest and I had to perform CPR on him until the ambulance arrived. Customers have enjoyed meals such as the Texan Skillet, Thai chicken dish, and seafood penne, which are described as very flavorful and delicious. The restaurant's coffee is also praised as better than the hotel's.
