The food we had for dinner was fairly bland. But the atmosphere was amazing.

Came here for Lunch and ordered the Texan Skillet and Thai chicken dish. Was very flavorful and delicious. Service was good. She was attentive and I found it quick enough. Drinks were good. There overall resturant could use a slight face-lift but otherwise enjoyed it.

We have stayed at the Spa a few times and LOVE the water, but the restaurant (Water's Edge) has very poor service for the price. We had to wait 35 mins for a table. The waiting area is quite shabby with old, mismatched chairs and a few couples had to stand the whole time. Once seated, we didn't get water and had cutlery missing (eventually, my husband went a found wait staff to give us both) They didn't clear our table after our starters, so when the mains came, there was no place to put them and we had to move our own plates onto the bus cart. The table across from us was cleared onto a cart, but the cart of dirty dishes was left right next to our table in cramped space for our entire meal. We had to move the dirty cart to leave, it had been there for over 20 mins. The service was not up to par for the cost of the meal. It had been better earlier in the week and the waitress explained to us that it would be better in a few weeks because her manager was away on holidays. The wait staff did the best they could, but having two waitresses on for a busy restaurant on a Friday is not an acceptable way to manage a restaurant. They should plan for having enough staff.
Also, the pool side pool vendor should have two people as well. We stood by the window to order drinks for 10 minutes and eventually just went to the vending machines because that was faster. I get the impress the the management of this hotel is not hiring enough people to work there.
If you go to this spa, be prepared to wait a long time for food and have the service and bussing be not acceptable for the prices.

Tasty for a restaurant in the middle of nowhere. Breakfast was decent and good coffee. Better coffee than the dip machine in the hotel rooms.
Skip the hotel coffee maker and pop in for a to go cup in the morning.

My wife and I went for breakfast in the morning and it was inedible. It tasted and appeared as if they cooked the bacon in the microwave and they sent out cut up raw potatoes for hashbrowns. We paid and walked out without being able to eat our meals. Amazing has such a terrible restaurant can be attached to such a great resort. The waitress who served us was amazing and the atmosphere was great, they just need to find a new chef. Was supposed to eat lunch and supper there as well but after our terrible breakfast drove to Davidson for meals instead.

To start the tables sat after us got their coffee first even though we asked when we first arrived. I orders the french toast and man was it disappointing. It was cold. There was no flavour and the middle was dry. The strawberries were frozen (I asked how they were prepared before ordering and was just told they were made with sugar so I assumed a warm strawberry syrup as you would get other breakfast places) I asked for them to be warmed up and it highlighted the rotten taste to the strawberries. I still had to pay full price even after mentioning my concerns to the waitress and not eating over half of it

Steak sandwich was rare and extremely tough. Baked potato was stone cold. Veggies tasted like they were cooked 3 days prior. Definetly not a resturant we would re visit.

Not a very nice looking place, the food was extremely mediocre. I ordered the ribeye with peppercorn sauce, and it was 100% packaged gravy with a couple peppercorns lol. We won’t be going back for the food

Very mediocre experience, tasteless and dry food, and unbelievablely slow service. We had to wait upwards for 30 minutes to get some pancakes and eggs, in an almost empty restaurant. There were 2 or 3 other parties when went to eat there. It sucks especially since we were here about a year or two ago, I'm guessing under different management, and the food and service were 10/10 back then. There's better options than to dine in here.

They claim to be very good about allergies and dietary restrictions and have GF and VF icons but had no regard for cross contamination. Not to mention, the food was very average at best but the prices aren't. They put regular gravy on my special request celiac dish, and when I confirmed I received an irritated "I don't know" when I asked her to confirm, it was in fact regular gravy. My rice also had carrots in it somehow, and do not let you know that when you ask for something off for allergies, it will be picked off instead of a cross contamination warning. It's almost as if I exclusively asked about the kitchens cross-contamination knowledge before deciding to dine.
I eat out maybe once every few months, so I am more than okay to pass if I can't be accommodated for. The server made it out like they were way advanced on allergies and celiac disease and I made the mistake of believing her. I also know that sometimes my restrictions mean I will pay the same for half the contents if it means I will be safe. But safety needs to be transparent. Clearly a "yes sir" tell them whatever they want to hear type of training.
I got sick before I even left and there wasn't even a discount on the bill for the server and I seeing multiple mistakes on my order. I just wish the food was at least good for the pain.
Dietary restrictions: Claimed to be very knowledgeable but had no regard for cross-contamination. Brought me normal gravy after requesting gluten free prep for my meal, and also picked off the things I was allergic to without letting me know that they were initially grouped together and in contact. No sympathy, and handled with irritation and "I don't know"s
