Great local bakery in a small town. It's a local treasure. They specialize in bread and make many loaves for locals as well as local businesses. Went on Friday to get spudnuts which are donuts that have mashed potatoes mixed in the batter. They were big and so delicious. Their bread was fine but not amazing. The price was fair though and rivals that of groceries in price. It's been around a long time so that should tell you something

I have heard for years the Golden Grain in Melfort is a must for a bakery stop. Today I had the chance, travelling out of Saskatoon for work and passed through Melfort. Made the stop and everyone was right! Most amazing donuts!!! Choco covered bismark was heavenly and the cake donuts so lusciously soft. Need to find more reasons to head to Melfort for donuts!!
