We stopped here after being turned away at BP's following a day of skiing. They made up a table for our group of 7 right away. The food was very good with fresh ingredients and decent portions. We were pleasantly surprised. I'm glad we couldn't get into BP's. I will come again.

Took our U15 hockey team out for a team lunch and it could not have been better. Food was quick and fresh and the service was prompt and friendly. Lots of great choices on the menu. Will definitely be back the next time we are in town.

I found myself alone in Melfort on a cold November evening, what else to do but get dinner and a beer. And now I hope it happens again - I would absolutely go back to Urban Cafe.
The vibe of the cafe is great. It’s homey but not homemade. It’s got the warmth of a local coffee shop with a large menu of full meal choices and table service - not just a soup and sandwich spot. At one point all the tables were full, but it didn’t last too long. I enjoyed the friendly sounds of a lively dinner rush in the background. Volume was balance and would allow for conversation even at the busiest. The restaurant was inviting and relaxing and the space allowed me to journal while I ate my food.
Everything was very reasonably priced and although my Haddock was likely a frozen pre-breaded filet it was tasty. Everything was familiar, but not in a way that left me disappointed. Instead satisfied. The carrot cake really stands out, but I am admittedly a dessert person.
Overall a great dinner and I’d recommend to anyone in Melfort. I spent just about $50 on my dinner, drink, dessert, and tip.

My husband and I went out for our anniversary supper last night. The restaurant was very busy, they were expecting a huge reservation. We were seated right away. Service was quick and friendly. We checked out the menu but we both decided on the supper special. Chicken margarita with tomato basil soup as a starter. We also had a cervasa and a RJ’s dill pickle vodka ceaser. The service was fast. The meal was perfect. In honor of our anniversary, they served us a complementary piece cheese cake to share. Two thumbs up for a nice supper out. ☺️

Best place to grab food and socialize in Melfort. There's a beautiful little patio if you'd like to enjoy the weather and the food was fantastic. I tried the Reuben and loved it. Also found my new favorite beer: Rebellion Brewing Amber

Me & my Mom stopped in for a late lunch. She got the ginger pork & broccoli bowl, while I ordered the Grilled Chicken Pesto Sandwich- it was delicious! The bread was so soft and the pesto had a great flavour. It was 70% chips with a delicious dip and 30% sandwich, but tasty overall! The chippers had some kick to them, I’d recommend my meal for sure!
The atmosphere was super neat, the café was clean and had great vibes. There was an enclosed patio outside too that looked very relaxed & comfortable.

Love this place. Hadn't gone here for a very long time until recently it has become a favourite of my partner and I. Cute little spot with awesome and tasty dishes. Feels very welcoming and the staff are so nice! Totally recommended the roast beef and Swiss dip with the chippers. One of my faves.

We stopped here because it had a good rating on Google and we needed somewhere to eat while passing through. Cute restaurant, server was nice my chicken pesto sandwhich was amazing but I did not like the fries and I wouldn't order them again, perhaps a soup next time. I would definitely come back!
