Browns Socialhouse Moose Jaw

Arrived at 4:45 and asked to order a happy hour drink as it ended at 5. We were told by the manager they would send our server over. Our server came at 5:15 and the manager would not honor the happy hour price for us. So sad they won't honor a discount and give $2 a drink off to provide good customer service and make people want to return.

I had a great experience at Browns overall. Most of the employees made me feel welcomed and at home, especially considering I’m not from the area. The servers — Shay, Alicia, Janissa, and Miranda Reed — were all extremely kind, professional, and made my visits enjoyable.

However, I did have an uncomfortable experience with John, the assistant manager. As an African American man, I was very surprised and uncomfortable when he used racial slurs, specifically the N-word, while speaking to me. Personally, I do not use that language myself, and I had to respectfully stand my ground and address it directly because that type of behavior is not acceptable to me.

To his credit, he did apologize the following week when I returned, and I respect the maturity it took to acknowledge the situation. That said, given his leadership position within the company, I believe a higher standard of professionalism and conduct should be expected. As a business owner myself, I would never allow behavior like that within my establishment.

I truly enjoyed the rest of the staff and my overall experience, but situations like this can negatively impact customers and the reputation of the business if not properly addressed. I believe accountability and corrective action are important to ensure something similar does not happen again in the future.

There was 4 of us going for supper. We walked in and we were greeted and sat quickly by the hostess.

We sat down at 445. We did not have a server come over or any one come over and ask if we wanted drinks. There was 2 other tables and 4 people at the bar, it was very quiet and not busy at all. We were there for 20 minutes and still no one took our drink order or even came to table. We ended up just walking out and went some where else.

This has been the second time this has happened that we did not get served or even acknowledged for 20 minutes.

Very sad.

Good food, what you would expect from any browns social house. Drinks were good. Service was a different story, our server forgot an entire order of food so I had to reorder the food as if I hadn’t already, and was overall slow service even with a mostly empty restaurant.

My favourite restaurant in Moose Jaw. I highly recommend their blackened chicken rice bowl. I have to have it once a week, it’s that good. Delivery and dine in experience has been great.

The only thing they can improve a little is the portion size. But regardless I love this place.

We have eaten there almost weekly since they opened. It’s a rare occasion that things go sideways with food/service/atmosphere. The staff has always tries to make things right when it does happen. Consistent good food, served well in pleasant surroundings…that’s all we ask for and they provide.

Manager is on a power trip. Thinks that she owns the place and can do what she wants. Came for delivery and she told me no because of my bag which was in my hand, she said it was to small and I explained that I delivered there before but her being on an outrageous power trip thinks she can do as she wants. She has serious issues as she swore and walked away and didn’t give me the delivery.

Went there for a lunch with friends. Its been a while since I had been to a Browns as I generally find them loud and can't visit with each other. This one was more quiet and we were able to hear everyone at the table (there were 6 of us). The food was good as was the service but to me its a bit pricey, paid $28 for a sushi roll and side salad.

I rarely give top ratings across all categories, but for Moose Jaw's Browns Socialhouse, I am. I walked in on a busy Saturday night after a long day of travel. This was my first visit to Moose Jaw. We took a seat at the bar and watched as the staff expertly seated people quickly and made it easy for them to grab a nice drink at the bar while waiting. Watching the bar tenders was a delight. They were slammed, yet all drinks were made with care and fresh ingredients for the mixed drinks. We ordered the California prawn roll, and I got the famous cowboy salad with the blackened chicken. Both were excellent with a beautiful presentation. With a crispy outside, the shrimp was still moist and perfectly cooked on the inside. The blackened chicken on a fully packed salad had a flavorful kick and was very moist. We finished with a slice of key lime pie--perfect crust and light as a feather. This was all at reasonable prices. The wait staff, though very busy, took time to explain everything, from the type of tap beers to the delicious dessert choices. Stop in. It's great.

We came in on Sunday for lunch after the tunnels. 4 if us, the hostess greeted us quickly and seated us and then we were completely ignored. The table next to us got seated about 10 minutes after we arrived and they got their drinks, joiners came and they got their drink order taken as well before we finally just got up and left. There was only a couple tables in there.

Simply put, its the place to pee.

Rachel our bartender was absolutely amazing! Super on point. Knew our needs. However the ladies bathroom was a point of contention got me. 2 stalls were missing half the door. It made me super uncomfortable. When im paying top dollare for food and drinks I expected the bathrooms would be better taken care of. When I mentioned it to my bartender it was clear it was not the first time she has heard this complaint. Do better.
