A friend suggested we go eat at the ‘haunted restaurant’. We were not disappointed! The food and atmosphere were both phenomenal. Linda, our server, gave us a full tour after lunch. It was incredible learning all about the history. I LOVE antiques…. The whole place is full of them. I highly recommend this while in Moose Jaw! Thank you Linda! You made our day! So funny, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. A true gem! My only complaint… the ghost never made an appearance while we there, that we know of 😏
I came to Hopkins Dining Parlour for my first visit this weekend and it was awesome!
The food was great, I had a shrimp appetizer which was on special that day, and a very large bowl of soup! Both very good. My friend had a steak and potato which he also very much enjoyed.
It was nice to have a little tour and see how the space has been utilized, and our server Linda, was great with giving us the history of the building and how the previous owners kept it. It was neat to go up the different floors of the house and see the basement and get an idea of how people may have once lived in there. The tarot reading station is a nice touch for those who enjoy the excitement of those. The piano Linda showed us is also something pretty amazing! I made sure to take a video haha.
I personally was just intrigued by the set up of the home and all the old furnishings and wall photos. There’s a lot of beauty to experience here.
I want to thank Linda and the rest of the staff for the kindness and passion they put into their work and this facility. They really make this place extra special and if you want to go somewhere where you feel like you’re in the company of loved ones, there is no better team.
Wonderful historical building. Linda gave our party of 11 a fantastic tour and we learned a lot of its history.
This is a beautiful building with lovely decor and staff. Unfortunately the buckwheat pancakes were unavailable during our visit, so our only option was the avocado toast which turned out to be extremely disappointing. The bread wasn’t toasted, the portion was very small, and the flavor was bland and lacking. We ended up sending our dish back and just enjoying a drink from the bar. Overall, super disappointing experience if you’re looking for vegan food, but if you’re just looking for a drink then this is a great stop!
Absolutely loved my experience at Hopkins! The atmosphere is like stepping back in time, every corner has a story, and the historical decor adds so much character. The food was delicious, the service was warm and attentive, and the whole experience felt genuinely special (especially the post meal tour). If you're in Moose Jaw and appreciate a place with personality and history, this spot is a must-visit. Can't wait to come back!
Excellent food and service. Love the free tour of this historic building. Highly recommended.
Great food and friendly service. Told a few storys, and showed us around their beautiful restaurant. Been a favourite place of mine since a kid.
Had to come back and visit while in town. And it’s still great!
we went for New Years eve and had an absolutely fantastic meal. The food was so yummy and perfect! would 100% recommend, we will definitely be going again!
We had a great time! Food was excellent and the tour at the end was icing on the cake. Cool to eat dinner in such a historical building.

Great atmosphere and history in this building.
The short comings are the food, service and cleanliness. The food was cold, dated, over priced and cold. Took 1.5 hours for supper on a weekday. The old carpets are gross and the general tidiness and cleanliness is poor.
The history of this building is awesome and it’s got a great back story. But it needs some help. It could be on an episode of ‘kitchen nightmares’
