Love going here for lunch and dinner! There food is always good and never disappoints, in fact i craved their wraps my entire pregnancy! The staff are always friendly and service is always exceptional!

Have been to the Whistle stop in Norquay a few times. They serve good, hot, home cooked meals. Big portions- so bring your appetite! They also have special buffets (brunch and supper I believe) like for Mother’s Day, etc. always with great variety! The service is warm and friendly like family. It’s great place to meet with friends or family.

I’d heard about the whistle stop from some friends back when I was more present in the area though I didn’t have a chance to visit. Until yesterday.
Parking is available on the gravel next to the restaurant. There’s plenty of parking and street parking if need be.
There’s restaurant is split into two with the first room having less tables, and another area at the back that reflects the photos in the reviews.
The menu is in line with a diner. Lots of options- burgers fries and breakfast!
I had the chicken sandwich with a poutine. While I normally find darker gravy’s more appetizing- this hit the mark. The fries were very crispy & offered the exact mouthfeel I hoped for. The burger had a honey dill and it was a solid ten.
The service was prompt and friendly in the way only small town restaurants are known for. Food didn’t take long & arrived to us hot.
I really enjoyed my meal here. It also helped I was in good company.

We were from out of town and got there a little late since we had trouble finding the place. The Whistle Stop is very quaint place. The food, service, and environment were great! Next time we will make sure to get there early to experience the museum and look at all of the train exhibits! The prices were very reasonable, and the staff were amazingly hospital.

Went on a date, and this was pretty much the only restaurant that was relatively halfway between us. Seated, menus, drinks right away. Decided to try a special. A Taco Burger? I was a little hesitant, but was pleasently surprised when I had my first bite. Devoured the burger, maybe a little too quickly. It was phenomenal. Would highly recommend checking this place out.

We love this restaurant. But this visit was disappointing. We were there for the breakfast buffet. When we arrived, the chafing dishes were out. So the food was lukewarm, low, and unattended. This made the food, which is usually great, just so-so. It may have been just a bad day for them.
