I’ve always had a good experience at this restaurant until today. I got take out and spent $26 on my meal. I asked for specifics (chipsters not too well done and my mayo for sandwich on the side). When I got home and opened the meal, I found the chipsters were well done and too crunchy. They also put my mayo on the sandwich and there was so much I gagged when eating and had to spit it out. We've gone a few times now, and enjoyed it. The food is good, and the staff has been very nice. I find some of the poutines a little overwhelming sauce-wise, but that's more a personal preference. I haven't had bad food here ever! It's very quick also, which I wouldn't expect when the food is obviously fresh. The menu is a little different from other places in town too, which is nice.
We just tried the Swiss portabella burger with fries. Excellent flavor, juiciness and size homemade burger and the fries were crisp and delicious. Also got a 20% discount today? I'm not sure why I got this discount, but I was happy with everything. 👌💯

Big Barrel Tavern serves good food, including Poutines and the dill pickle smash burger. The atmosphere features big screen TV'S. Service is excellent and staff is very nice. The menu is a little different and food is quick and fresh.
