My bartender Shawna was so funny and attentive. She makes the best dirty gin martinis!

We have been to Bon Temps many times, based on a recommendation.
When we went, the server was way too busy to worry about a table of two, and after the bartender noticed, he took it upon himself to serve us (his service was AMAZING). The food was good, the drinks were delicious and the bartender bought us a drink to make up for our server's bad service. The beignets were so yummy.

The last time we went there, will be the last time. The service was absolutely terrible, the staff were free pouring shots into each others mouths, rather than serving the customers. The food was okay, but not near as good as it used to be.

It is such a cool place to look at, the decor is amazing.

A disappointing visit and when we were visiting from out of town it used to be a favourite place. Now we'll just avoid it entirely. There are lots of other options and watching servers get drunk wasn't the entertainment I'm interested in.

Ordered the Seafood Creole - hardly any seafood, No shrimp, tiny scallops - very disappointing. Mostly rice very little sauce. Biscuits were missing; then receive burnt ones.
Chair was worn and broken. Service was so-so.Not sure if I will ever return.

Visiting from Flin Flon. My 2nd time. Have been waiting to come back. Love the feel of this place...food and service was great.
Look forward to coming again!

Good food, good service, just sorta expensive. But a date night out, time with the bois, or girls hangout, total vibe for people to come for a treat

Overall, I’m on the fence on whether or not I’d come back. When you’re spending over $200 on food and drinks, there’s a service standard that should be met.

The food was amazing. I started with the fresh oysters (which actually did taste fresh) and had the Low Country Boil as an entree. The oysters and accompanying sauces were delicious, and everything included in the boil was super yummy. For a completely land-locked province, all of the seafood (crawdads, shrimp, mussels, and clams) tasted wonderful, and I would go back just for their jambalaya. The corn was from-frozen and tough, but I can’t expect much for this time of year, so no complaint there.

The atmosphere inside the restaurant is one of my favourites I’ve been to in Saskatoon. The vibe in there was awesome, and for either a small party like I was, or a big group, I think it’s a super awesome place to spend a couple hours enjoying.

Where Bon Temps really did not shine was their service. The host was lovely, but our server (who didn’t tell us his name so I can’t say who) was subpar at best. We were seated right away, but it took our server 20 minutes just to greet us. I ordered a Bourbon on rocks, and it took us another 10 minutes to get our drinks. The first few sips were good, but when the server put more ice in the glass than liquor (the glass was literally over half full of ice) it was completely diluted and watered down before I was half-way finished. We didn’t see our server for another good couple of minutes, and when we did he only took our starter orders, which would be fine if we didn’t have to wait so long for him to come back for us to order entrees. The started themselves were wonderful, but our server took his sweet time clearing our plates and getting our entree orders. We waited about half an hour at our table for our entrees, which also would have been fine if we had starters to eat while we waited, but we had no food and I had a watered down bourbon to reluctantly sip. Once we got our entrees, we didn’t see our server for probably the hour it took us to chat and eat. One at our table ordered a water at the start, and didn’t get it until our server brought our entrees. We ended up having to go to the bartender (who was also very lovely) for waters, and pop refills, for the rest of us. After we finished entrees and ordered deserts, we waiting about half an hour before flagging another server down and just asking for the bill. When our server caught wind, he came and said he’d go ask the kitchen, and we needed up getting our desserts to go with our bill. The deserts did end up tasting delicious.

Our bill came out to just over $200, which was fine for the amount of food we ate, but I was charged $15 for a crappy Bourbon which I’m not cool with, considering that’s less then come of their prices for their house specials and cocktails.

We had also tried to order corn ribs to start, which our server told us were seasonal, and personally I don’t see the point of having an unavailable seasonal item on the menu with no warning.

Overall, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was great, but the service standard, especially for the amount of money we spent, was sorely lacking from our server. We saw our server maybe 10 times and spent over 2 hours there.

Came here for a birthday celebration at 5:00pm, and didn’t leave till 7:20. Upon arrival we sat at our table for roughly 20 minutes before our server even arrived.
Service was very poor, our server would disappear for 10-15 minutes at time, we had to ask the host and the bartender for service at three different times. Our server would forget stuff we asked for, would leave us to go behind the bar, and the only time we actually saw our server for more than a minute was at cheque time; we were the only table in the lounge at the time. We had to ask for our cheque from the hostess, and had to have our desserts packed up to go because the wait for two desserts was 25 minutes. When we had gone up to the bartender to request refills on our drinks because we haven’t even our server for 15 minutes, she replied with, “oh yeah that happens.” The host was very apologetic, and seemed to be running the whole place by herself. Was charged $15 for a shot of bourbon, when the average price for a cocktail containing bourbon was $15. Was charged the non-happy hour price for food, when we arrived/ordered before happy hour was over. Overall, very disappointed with our experience here. Our bill was over $200 for three people, when two people even shared a meal- there needs to be a service standard with the price.

Very cool vibe dining in. And the food was definitely tasty. However, the service was absolutely dismal. Over 2.5 hours for a meal, which would be acceptable if we were seen, we had to go to the bar for water/pop refills. We also had to take our dessert to go because after 30 mins of waiting for dessert we legit had to go. The fact that we had to ask the hostess for help says a lot. And in all honesty the place wasn’t as busy as you’d expect for this kind of dismissal service. Our bill was well over $200 (one bevy only so mostly food) and I would somewhat expect that’ we’d be acknowledged and didn’t need to approach staff for dinner plates (yes plates to eat off of) and water/pop refills.

Service was unfortunate. When we finally did get service ( I had to go to the bartender to help) they were unapologetic and self righteous. Love the vibe of the place, food was acceptable, but something that was advertised as spicy was mediocre at best. I will go back, hope for a better experience next time.

It was our first time here. We may try to come back again. The food is good, but to someone who has experience working in a Louisiana Restaurant, I'd say they could do better. Brisket's a little dry, not enough meat/seafood in Jambalaya. Gumbo would be a great addition to the menu, as well as Etouffe and Creole soup. Desserts are great, though, and cocktails. And kid menu would be a the greatest addition.

Great selection. Great food.

The meal started off strong with the hushpuppies for an appetizer, but when the main course (country boil) arrived it was a bit of a let down. The only spice I really tasted was maybe a chilli/cayenne on top of the seafood shells, but the boil mixture it was cooked in was flavourless, it did not remind me of flavourful creole seasoning. It is frozen seafood, which may not be problematic but just mentioning Fri inform. The shrimp were bland, additionally the crawfish were overcooked and the chicken in the jambalaya were dry. Lastly, I do agree with other reviews that the sausage in the country boil was burnt. However, our appetizer and main dish was brought out promptly. We ordered beignets to try to redeem dinner, but the beignets were also a let down. 2/4 were completely hollow and crunchy, the other two were fluffy so it was a gamble. The chocolate sauce was more of a chocolate syrup. The waitress also took quite a long time to bring out the bill. Not terrible by any means, but I do not think I will be back.

My first time here, but for sure I’ll be back 😊.
Cool Cajun vibe, awesome food, and great service.
No room for dessert, I’ll save that for next time.

Really good food, a different experience will definitely go back again and try more of their dishes.
