I find that the quality has diminished, prices have increased and portions have decreased. Staff is not always friendly.

Definitely not impressed with the service. For starters, the Bagels are no name from the grocery store so shouldn't be advertised as "Nestor's Bagels". The dill cream cheese was delicious though. I also ordered a homemade oreo cookie. While waiting for my bagel I could feel that the cookie was rock hard. I mentioned it to the staff who then took it into the back. She came back out a few minutes later and told me she made a new one. I believed her and it wasn't until I was back at work that I realized she gave me back the exact same one.

The staff was Rude and not helpful. The food was mediocre at best. Will not be going back. Which is too bad because I was happy to have a cafe so close to work. As someone who works in customer service I can say with confidence that there is a way you should talk to people and that is not it.

I went in on my lunch break to grab a sandwich. I got the chicken panini which was supposed to be tomato jam, roast chicken and roasted vegetable. I took it to go back to the office (a 2minute walk) The bread was soggy and barely browned, the inside of the sandwich was ice cold, there was a bunch of gristle in the chicken and instead of tomato jam there were just tomato slices. With no sauce this sandwich was flavourless, cold and somehow soggy. I also got a piece of puff wheat cake which was gritty. So disappointing as I had heard good things from coworkers.

They have great coffee, italian soda's, and donuts, good vibes and a decent location, but their hours of operation are abysmal. I get off work at 2:30, and stopped by but they closed around 2:40-2:50 with a sign saying they were closing earlier that day at 3:00. Their usual hours are only until 3:15 already so it was pretty disappointing.

They're missing a lot of the Mon-Fri 8-430 and 9-5 workers already and also not open on the weekends. Seems like poor business practice to have a short time window to enjoy their stuff.

I would go to the 8th streey location but I guess they are closing down. With all my complaints though, I do love their Tiger Blood italian soda still lol

Okay spot for a coffee, lunch is hit and miss, but today was a huge miss. Awful service. Didn't get greeted, I had my drink down on the counter and the staff member walked by 4 times (busy, which was fine), but then walked up, spun the till around to the tip option screen, without asking me anything. I had to inform her that I actually wanted to order something, which seemed to bother her significantly. I got the lunch special and the portion I opened back at the office was laughable. Seriously disappointed today.

Ordered a new drink they had, coke with shot espresso and cookie dough ice cream. Was great. Better than I expected. They have decent menu but never tried food this time.

This is truly a hole-in-the-wall. I saw a couple 1-star reviews for it. I understand how those could get written but a person's expectations are extremely crucial in determining how they will rate something.Bunnyhug Bakery feels like good, honest friends of yours decided to make a go at giving people an alternative to the "Big Box" coffee places. Your friends aren't rich and they don't know everything there is to know about the eatery business, but they have a heart for their work and the people they're serving.Again, it's about expectations. Human beings like you are making sandwiches, cooking food, preparing drinks. So the butter on the toast or sandwich might not always be perfectly melted or at the right temperature. The furniture and the upstairs nook are rustic-feeling, partly because they provide a comfortable atmosphere and again partly because you generally don't get rich in the cafe business. If you like everything polished and perfect, go somewhere else.On the other hand the space is larger and the foot traffic is less than the more popular "chain" venues. So it makes the place feel a bit cozier and more personal. Servers aren't yelling out orders. You're not constantly getting a cold draft when someone opens the door. And as I mentioned, you can go up to a loft with windows to the south for an even cozier experience. The staff is friendly. They know their business and serve up your order with a genuine smile and interaction. They put you at ease and make you want to stay awhile. How many places can you say that about? And their prices are quite reasonable. If you're looking for these kinds of things, Bunnyhug is a very good choice. They could use a few more good customers, people like themselves. But please - don't tell everyone. Some places are best kept secret, contained to your circle of closer friends. Everyone else can go looking elsewhere for the perfect latte or ham & cheese omelette while we enjoy the rich food and company in peace and contentment. I highly recommend this place (said in a low voice, almost a whisper).
