Lovely setting, excellent coffee and service. The elk and duck dishes we had were amazing in flavor but frankly for $40 they were the size of appetizers with no side dish. Cheesecake was yummy too.

My husband and I were extremely disappointed at the Valentine’s Day 5 course dinner. We have been to many five course dinners and this was the absolute worst we’ve ever had. The portions were minuscule. Presentation was terrible. The plates were oversized with one tiny thing in the middle and no garnishes. It was meant to be a wine pairing event and the waiter was disengaging, never explained anything to us. Would not recommend.

My wife and I went for valentines dinner and we’re overall very disappointed for a five course meal. First of all not being able to choose what we wanted on the menu having to choose between meat, fish or vegetarian ie… I wanted meat but did not want the tuna so in order to not get the tuna I had to order vegetarian???? 2nd the portions were one bite and the main was terribly small, my wife and I were hungry when all said and done for $348.00??? We have been to two other 5 course meals else where and were well worth the money. This was not and very disappointing! On top of that they took a 40.00 deposit which was not on the receipt so what happened to our deposit??

One of our favorite restaurants in Saskatoon. We were celebrating, and choose Calories for Saturday brunch where we had the salmon eggs benedict. It was very nice except the hash browns were crazy spicy! They have never been remotely spicy in previous visits. I had a couple of hash browns and had to immediately drink the 2 glasses of water on the table. It seemed like they were very understaffed in the front and our coffees arrived at pretty much the same time as our meal. Server was very nice but service was not usual. Restaurants should be more aware that when you are spending $50+ on two breakfasts clients do have some expectation of service. Eating out is a really rare treat and this visit fell short.

I just went in to get take out desert and was greated so rudely! No hello when I walked in. The waitress ran right up to me and told me to leave immediately as they were closed for a private event and repeated that I need to leave with out even a hello. No sign posted on the door that could have been read to notify me of this as the front door was completely fogged up. Google says open. Its not ok to treat people this way. I should have been greated politely and quietly told that there was a private event happening in a manner that was not hostile. Not told to immediately leave and be met with complete rude hostility.

I have been coming to calories for a long time and it always has unique menus and drinks. Reliably good meals and great waiters. The specials are always intriguing as well. Totally recommend, great spot.

Disappointing meal. The mushroom ravioli was not cooked (not al dente, but crunchy) and served lukewarm. The beet gnocchi was also served lukewarm and the gnocchi was shaped like it was squeezed out of a tube. The trout was fine, served on a smear of mashed potatoes and no other vegetables ($34!). The server arrived at our table and the first thing said is, ‘what do you want’. Not good evening or asked if we had any questions about the menu. No one came by to see if we wanted more wine or water. $145 meal for 2 wasted.
Tassia provided their lunch package for takeout. The sandwiches and soup combo with dessert was enjoyed by everyone. This included gluten free and a vegetarian option. Thank you! You have to try their fresh and homemade food.

Went there for our wedding anniversary. Server was great, but overall food and drinks took a while more than we expected - there were only other few tables.
Food was good but not great. The Saskatoon berry lemonade tasted as bubbly water - no lemon or berry taste. Husband had a hamburguer that was a bit dry. I had the special quiche which was delicious. We both had the lamb soup and this one was nothing special. Husband also tried the Indian summer drink and it was way too strong for lunch. For dessert, the toffee cheesecake was espetacular but the celebration cake was a bit dry - but after taking it home I microwaved for few seconds and it got better.
I guess I had high expectation for hearing so much about this place, so was a bit disappointed. Would be back for an ordinary coffee but not for a special day. Would say it’s a 3/5.

I am obsessed with calories. I love their food and the aesthetic and ambiance. I love their desert and coffee. I am also obsessed with their burger and fries its my favorite thing on their menu. soooo yummmy! but every thing on their menu is good. they also have a nice wine list.
