Absolutely top steaks and sides. The vegetables were fresh and prepared by a great chef. A nice small comfortable venue and the service was second to none!

Our server , Reed , was efficient, thoughtful, and respectful. Ambiance was pleasant, food options were varietal , seating was comfortable .

My boyfriend said that that was the best birthday dinner The only complaint I have is the corner booth feels weird to eat at just because of the angles the table is big but everything is placed so close . Service was friendly and personable

Decided to celebrate a 1 yr anniversary with my girlfriend. She was amazed with the setting of our booth. Our service was excellent and the food was exceptional. Thank you for hosting us and making our night truly memorable.

We went for our anniversary dinner and it was a great experience. Our steaks were cooked to perfection and the service was amazing. The staff was holding the doors open for us, our water was refilled quickly and the server was friendly.
If you are looking for a good steak and good service, that’s the best place to go to.

2 hr seating. Drinks took half hr for first round. Seen our server 3 times total. For how quiet the restaurant was, was not impressed with the service. Steak was fantastic, other sides were ok

Awesome service, we were put in the lounge even thought it did not seem busy. Not sure Service was excellent by our waiter.

Was a wonderful experience. Service was outstanding helping us with wine choices and food pairings. We never felt rushed, was a nice little pause between courses. The food was perfectly cooked and elevated with flavors and presentation. A perfect place for a date night! We'll be back for sure!

Disappointing Experience at Carver’s – More Like a Comedy of Errors Than a Steakhouse

I stayed at the Sheraton for a week and, having visited Carver’s about 15 years ago, I decided to give it another shot. I remembered the oysters being solid back then, and while the steaks weren’t anything to write home about, no one in my family had major complaints.

Fast-forward to now — I called ahead to order, only to be told I had to come down in person because people apparently place orders and ghost. Fair enough, I respect that policy… until I show up, place my order, and they don’t even ask for payment. Isn’t that defeating the exact purpose of the no-call-in rule?

Then I ask for a beer to go. The staff tells me they can’t let me leave with an open one, so they need to “wrap it.” Instead of just handing me a sealed beer can, the guy cracks it open and then puts Saran Wrap over it like it’s some kind of bootleg travel cocktail. What?

By the time I get my food, it’s been plated… then literally scooped off the plate into a takeout container. At that point, why bother with plating at all? Save the extra dishwashing.

As for the food:
• The steak bites were decent — good flavor, probably the only redeeming part of the meal.
• The calamari tasted like soggy onion rings wearing squid costumes.
• The crab cake was basically a deep-fried salt puck.
• And the steak? Tough enough to be part of my wardrobe. I’m not sure if I was eating sirloin or my belt.

Overall, for a steakhouse attached to a hotel in downtown Saskatoon, I expected way more. Carver’s feels like it’s stuck in the past — and not in a good way. This was my last visit

Brooke our server was fantastic! Food was good, scallops were small and overcooked. Expectations of food quality are high as they should be at a higher end restaurant. They need to do better on the food quality.

An amazing dining experience. I was seated in the dining area and was greeted by the host. Shortly after the server brought a menu and drink order. I opted for the New York strip with seasonal veg accompaniments. The steak was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Atmosphere at Carver's was clean and could be romantic, depending on what you're after.

The whole team that served us (Rachel, Miko and Reid) were amazing. We were given such great attention and service. The food was perfectly cooked and overall it was simply perfect. Highly recommend 👌
