I don't know if the average Saskatoonian knows how lucky we are to have this incredible family run business. The Chef who drives the kitchen side is one of the best in the country. The bread, pasties, pizzas and sandwiches are the best it gets. The Broadway location is set up like a Mediterranean eatery with the counter style ordering. The staff are always quick and kind and get to know the regulars. One of Saskatoons best. Oh, and some of the best coffee in YXE too. Try the olive bread on Saturdays, there's no going back.

I came in at 4:15 and was told the bakery closed at 4:30 and they weren't able to make my pizza. The restaurant closes at 5:00 pm, so I ordered a sandwich, but they weren't able to make that either. I won't be back.

I recently visited Christie’s Il Secondo and was absolutely blown away by the Fat Tony panini and their expertly crafted latte. The Fat Tony is nothing short of sensational—layers of mortadella, capicollo, salami, crisp lettuce, fresh tomato, zesty pepperoncini, and creamy mozzarella, all glazed with a balsamic reduction and tangy chili‑lemon aioli, nestled in fresh sourdough. The combination of savoury meats, bright peppers, melty cheese, and that kick from the aioli made every bite deliciously memorable. The latte was equally impressive—silky-smooth, aromatic, and perfectly balanced—a real treat whether you’re waking up or taking a midday break. On top of that, the atmosphere at Il Secondo is warm and inviting, and the staff were genuinely friendly and engaging. It’s the kind of local gem that makes you feel welcome the moment you walk in. In short: Fat Tony + latte = pure happiness. If you’re in Saskatoon and appreciate bold flavors, high-quality ingredients, and top-notch coffee, make sure you make a stop at Christie’s Il Secondo. I showed my friend from a different country around the city and wanted to introduce her Christie's Bakery, which is one of my favourite places. This place didn't let me down and showed her the charm of this shop. Christie's carries various artisan bread, drinks but also offers a unique style of baking their pizza. We had margherita pizza and it really hit the spot. Definitely a great place for a date or just a meetup.
