My go to pizza restaurant in Saskatoon! I have tried a few italian style pizza in the city and this one is the best so far. Their sauces are really good. Staff is friendly. And they usually have good deals on pizza’s/pastas. Their margherita pizza is my fav!

Ordered through UberEats. Ordered a game combo, which was suppose to come with 2 pizzas, wings, and garlic parm bites, an order of cannoli and 1 extra pizza. Only got 3 pizzas from that $100+ order. Contacted delivery courier and said that was the only boxes given to him. Very disappointed

Service was exceptional. But the pizza not so much. I bought the margarita pizza and it had close to no toppings and soggy. Worst pizza I’ve had in a very long time. They most definitely need to improve it.

Dough box was delicious. Sam was the one preparing our order and gave us complementary dipping sauces! Would go again.

The woman at the counter was nice, but so quiet! The restaurant is nice enough, all it needs to be. Tidy bathrooms. I tried the lunch special, half pizza with drink. The pizza is not good at all... barely anything on it but sauce. I should've been more patient, and waited for Thirteen Pies to open for the day! This one is a swing and a miss for me.

Update:
After seeing the below review, the Dough Box staff came to me the next time I was in, and offered to make my order free.
The manager went out of his way to collect my feedback and told his staff to correct the issues. Some of them are still a little shoddy with the pasta portions, compared to the past, but there has definitely been a real effort made to improve, and I hope to see that continue.
When they opened, they were stellar , and I hope and believe they are sincerely trying to repeat that level of service, as things fall into the “routine” of running a business after a few years. Also, it’s very clean, which is nice to see.
Satisfied.
Original review:
This place is a bit hit and miss. When they opened, they were incredible. About a year ago, I would have given them 4.5 easily. Like, food was always good, although not really the quality of the first few months, when their linguini with tomato sauce and meatballs was pretty close to Taverna, the fanciest Italian restaurant in the region. We get take out every week.
Last 6 months, it’s been hit and miss, and lately more miss than hit. Staff getting careless or maybe manager/ owner is pressuring them to use less and less ingredients? Pizza has way less toppings , sometimes the pasta boxes are half full, got a box of meatballs and tomato sauce which had like one tablespoon of tomato sauce last month. This week linguini with tomato sauce (large) was half empty when I opened it at home. Two weeks ago, the chicken on the pizza was old and dried out and tasted off- it was clearly way past its prime, like it should have been tossed as waste, but they used it anyway. Pizzas are cut crazy like some slices are normal, some are about 1/32 of the pizza and other slices 1/4 . It’s just a sort of all round staff or management attitude like they are busy, grouchy parents feeding kids they are mad at like people who want to say “- “here, there’s food. I don’t care if you like it; I don’t care if it’s not the same as usual; I don’t care if it’s burnt, or your brother got double, just shut up and be glad you got something.” Which is understandable maybe, when you are a parent, trying to dish up a bunch of demanding kids. It’s not fine when a Business and their staff are getting paid -to prepare a specific dish, of a specific size, in a certain way, according to a recipe, unless directed to Change that recipe by the customer… third time now that I’ve received a half full pasta.
Also, the up charges for “extra” ingredients are insane: pasta that looks pink because it has so little sauce, so they can charge an extra $ for “extra” (normal) amount of sauce. Extra charge for garlic. Like $2 for a pinch of garlic… really ? You can’t make garlic free when it costs like $0.02? Such a shame, really. This place had very good food to start with, I guess to get customers coming. Now they are reducing quality dramatically - not fair practice, and not good business, because the loyal customers will just walk away for a new place, when the food is going downhill. See photo of the half empty pasta box.
