Fantastic longjohns and other doughnuts!!! A must if you are visiting or a local

Someone bought doughnuts at work from Downey's and I had two of em. Safe to say mind blown, incredible. I can't wait to come and try more stuff in person, I've been telling everyone ever since about your doughnuts, going by the reviews you have plenty of other nice things too (& everything's local).

Nice little place donuts and snacks are tasty.
But have to say there chicken pot pies are Flippin awful, little chewy chunks of chicken , kinda like a dog chew..
Apart from that it's good

Just a quick comment....everything else other than your chicken pot pies are delicious and top notch. Those pies had like rubber cubed chicken pieces in them, if it was actually chicken. I would not recommend you make those anymore.

They make fantastic cookies! The gingersnaps, oatmeal choclate chip, sugar cookies and double-choclate (best ones I've ever had) are all great and are a great price on top of that.

The long johns are always fresh and has the perfect icing donut ratio.

This is my favorite bakery in Saskatoon by a long shot! I moved here from Indiana in 2020, and the Golden Sheaf has quickly become one of my favorite local food stops in the city! Their chocolate long johns are amazingly rich, and they always have themed cookies every holiday!

So at 9 am asked Owners Daughter do you have FRESH bread ? What a rude question to ask a bakery .. she was pissed right away telling me they bake every day but then freeze it and sell frozen bread . !!! I asked about FRESH and she explained that they bake every day but not all kinds of breads . So OK … what do you have fresh today ( as you said you bake every day ) .:.Nothing … OK when is the best time to come for fresh bread !!! That was me crossing. The line . She got mad and asked me “ are you wanting to buy ? And suggested to go to another bakery. ..Otherwise I already had product ready for payment ) the owners daughter told me to go some were else if I don’t like it !!!! The owner came out and told me to come tomorrow /. So if you want fresh FROZEN baked every day this is the bakery to go too .. extraordinary poor service
from the owners Daughter .. NO respect for the customers , she does not care that you came to the bakery to buy hopefully fresh baked goods .
The donuts look fresh . But everything else could be old several days or even more the. Unfrozen … this is REALLY not what I expected from a Bakery ..

Best apple fritters I’ve ever had

The lady working there had a terrible attitude. The donuts were okay otherwise. Won’t go there again.

Good quality baked goods. Best doughnuts I’ve had, soft buns and bread. So much better than grocery stores. I will be trying to come back here for all the baked goods I need.

Our go-to donut place in town. Everything is so good, but our favourite are the round sugar donuts – they're so fluffy and soft. I had to take a star off because the round sugar donuts are only available on Saturdays AND usually they're gone by 11am when they close at 5pm? Still a great place though.
