Famoso Italian Pizzeria - Greystone

Since the restaurant is now under completely new ownership and has changed its entire concept, I no longer feel my older review is relevant or fair. I feel like any reviews from before the change should be disregarded.

We were regulars at the old version and tried the food for the first time under the new ownership tonight. The biggest change is that it’s no longer a traditional sit-down restaurant; it now operates like a fast-food/counter-service spot.

The pizza itself was similar to what we remembered, but the dips were noticeably lower quality. Service was fine(my order was take out). Vibe noticeably different, not bad, just not as welcoming.

My main issue was food safety/hygiene: with an open kitchen, in the 2 minutes I was there watched staff handle finished food with bare hands. I understand bare-hand contact during prep when food will still be cooked, but touching ready-to-eat items without gloves is gross and genuinely put me off eating my meal.

Not bad, but definitely not the same!

Used to be a lot better. They combined it with a burger place. I had not been in a while and called asking about a reservation and was told I could have the table I wanted. Showed up there's no reservations weird that they would not just say that on the phone. Ordered some spices pizza that had no spice. When they came by and asked if we needed anything I asked for a refill she looked at me weird and never came back with it. Had to go to the till for a refill. If you want mcdonalds style setvice this is your place. Really dissapointing changes.

Since my last visit 4 years ago, the burger counter has been added to the pizza restaurant, which feels like it's devalued the whole experience.

The pizza was ok, but in general I was a little disappointed, having higher expectations from prior visits.

I was afraid they would mess it up with their new American Fusion, but I got to say, it fails all other burgers. For all the Indian food lovers, you’ve got to try their Bombay burger it’s so good! The price is good the quantity is good, it’s perfect! All the food we got (tiramisu 2 cold drinks unlimited refills, 2 burgers, 1 regular fries) it was only $40. For anyone who is a Tiramisu lover, they were the best and will always be the best! Great price great quantity! I would be really heart broken if you guys ever closed permanently, but really great wishes from us!

New ownership is no good. Quality has gone down.

Clean place and good staff. It didn’t take much time to get the order served. I tried the marguerita pizza.

Great food with awesome customer service

After having the integration of Fat Burger run out of the same building puzzled me at first. However after eating here I was pleasantly surprised to see they made it work very well. The only change I would say to make is the price. While Famoso kept its authentic Naples quality pizza I assumed the price would be lowered because of the change of atmosphere.

My boyfriend and I have done weekly famoso nights for over a year.

When they closed for the renovations, we went all over the city looking for the equivalent for our usual order of a 15” margarita pizza. No pizza was found.

Came back after they reopened and were very pleased with the staff, atmosphere, and product.

Will be resuming the tradition:)
