The sate chicken banh mi is disappointing. When I order sate, I expect the meat to be grilled. I don’t see any kind of grilling on the chicken nor any Vietnamese flavours on the chicken. It could have been boiled for all I know. It was very tender, though.
Absolutely delightful. I didn’t even make it home before eating half the sandwich — it was that good.
The flavors are so well balanced, fresh, and satisfying that my mouth is literally watering as I write this. Hands down, this is probably the best banh mi I’ve ever had.
I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Francis (aka Frankie), and what a genuinely lovely gentleman. So friendly, welcoming, and kind — it honestly felt like chatting with someone I’d known for 10 years. The place was spotless, the vibe was warm, and you can tell he truly cares about what he’s serving and the people he’s serving it to.
Delicious food, wonderful owner, and an all-around great experience. I’ll absolutely be back!!
10/10!!

Hands down the best sandwich in the city, not even close.
Huge thank you to the owners for keeping the standard high and treating customers like regulars, not transactions. Places like this are rare.

Best bahn mi in the city!
The special combo is easily the best bahn mi in Saskatoon. And it comes at a decent price as well. Staff are friendly and service is quick

Unfortunately didn't get to try the Banh Mi, as they were out by the time supper rolled around. But that's not the basis for my review... Got the pork salad rolls and a special pho instead... Pho was fine, nothing special, but definitely overpriced for what you get. Salad rolls were small, and heavy on the peanut sauce and lime. I'll stick to Ngon Ngon or Red Pepper.

I have eaten my fair share of Bun (noodle dish) with fish sauce, however in larger cities. The meat felt overcooked, too many noodles and not enough fresh veggies and herbs which im used to (cucumbers, bean spruts, turnips, mint, cilantro, etc.) Good bang for buck on quantity but quality was lacking. This noodle dish tasted more Thai (drenched in Thai chilling sauce) and less Vietnamese flavors such as lemon grass, basil and other fresh herbs. Disappointed as I really crave those when away from home.
Delicious, great value and ultra friendly service. Best satay broth I have ever had! Thanks for a great visit

A Saskatoon institution. Recently ate here in the restaurant for the first time though for years I’ve been doing take out. So friendly. So tasty. So local. Such good value.
