EDIT: this review was intended for the High River location, not the Saskatoon location.

Shady booking services. Tried to book through Expedia and found the room we want. They ask if you want to book a refundable room or non-refundable. Well refundable is an extra $20 and you can’t book the non-refundable option. Tried calling the hotel directly and they won’t even match the price on Expedia for the same room. I’ll just skip ever booking here!

Bed bugs found in the rooms. Absolutely no accountability by the management or owners of this hotel. Discusting, don't stay here.

Warmly welcomed, clean lobby. Room clean, including bathroom - no grime, no broken tiles, or baseboards- just great. Comfortable beds. Lots of outlet plugs, very reasonable rates.

Hot breakfast is amazing, excellent service - paid $6.00 or so to upgrade room with breakfast for 3. Well worth it. Freshly made, restaurant style.
Easy check out, cleaning staff working hard.

Will 100% be back here...

Our experience at Heritage Inn was not just disappointing - it was infuriating. We arrived around 1:30am, completely exhausted after a long day of travel. After entering the room and turning on the TV, we immediately saw that it was broken. We took a timestamped photo at 1:52am as clear evidence. Wanting to settle in and rest, we planned to report it in the morning.

The next day, we informed the front desk that the TV had been damaged before we arrived. The staff member took a photo of the image on my phone, we checked out, and were under the impression that the issue had been recorded and acknowledged. That should have been the end of it. Instead, without warning, the hotel charged us $610 - no call, no explanation, nothing!

When we challenged the charge, we were met with a dismissive response claiming they had “investigated everything.” Frankly, that’s absurd. If any real investigation had taken place, our photo timestamped within 20 minutes of arrival would have proven beyond doubt that the TV was already broken. We certainly did not walk in, smash a TV, take a photo of it, and continue on with our night.

The hotel ignored the facts and chose to blame the guest rather than acknowledge a clear lapse in their own procedures.

We already know how this review will be received: with a standard apology and another empty statement about internal investigations. But let us be clear - we did not break the TV. And now we’re $610 out of pocket, spending our holiday chasing a refund through our credit card provider for a charge we should never have received.

This experience has left us angry, frustrated, and completely disillusioned. It has also taught us an expensive lesson: honesty isn’t always rewarded - sometimes it costs you.

Do not stay here without documenting every inch of your room the moment you arrive, and make sure you have a staff member present for your inspection.

This hotel charged us for damage that we did NOT do. I wish I could give more stars, as our stay was fine, breakfast was good, and desk staff were pleasant. However, the way this hotel handled the situation of a broken TV in our room was unacceptable. We arrived late at night, around 1:40am, checked in and proceeded to our room. We had been travelling for over 30 hours and just needed to chill and sleep as we were moving on in the morning. My wife turned on the TV and we discovered it was damaged, something had clearly smashed into it. We took a photo, with timestamp, and went to sleep. In the morning, we informed the desk staff that the TV was broken before we entered the room, and showed them the photo. Nothing else was said. A week later we discovered a charge on our credit card for $600. We contacted the hotel and they confirmed that it was for the damage to the TV. We disputed the charge, as we definitely did NOT damage the TV. (Why would we enter a room, smash the TV, take a photo and then show them the proof?) The manager agreed to investigate, and several hours later we received an email which clearly placed the blame for the damage on us. The manager insisted that the room had been thoroughly checked before our arrival and all staff had signed off on the condition of the room. The manager has not yet provided any proof of this, but it is clear to us that somewhere along the way a staff member has not done their job properly (checking the condition of the TV by turning it on to check) and my wife and I are paying for that employee’s mistake or negligence.
