After seeing the reviews we went to the Star of Ishstar on Gray Ave in Saskatoon and we very pleased with the food and service. Very flavourful and lots of gluten free recommendations. We started with the lentil soup and it was amazing. Next up we tried the Dolmas, very good, Kebab Platter delicious and a ton of food and the falafels were bite sized flavour bombs. Support Local!! Our server was attentive and friendly. We will be back.Dietary restrictions: Very knowledgeable about why was gluten free

Bought Chicken alfredo pasta for takeout and it was extremely disappointing. The sauce seems store bought and therefore very salty, couldn’t eat it and had to throw it away. Bought it for iftar but very disappointed!!

If you are looking for fantastic Middle Eastern food in SASKATOON, you need to check out ISHTAR RESTAURANT AND STAR LOUNGE on Gray Ave. ( Sutherland area.) What can I say but WOW! The best dolma and falafel ( including their dipping sauces) in the city, hands down. Hubby had the chicken Tikka plate, which included yummy lentil soup, 2 chicken tikka skewers, rice, fanfreakingtastic Traditional Ishtar Salad, and flat bread. I had the Ishtar plate which featured 1 chicken Tikka kabob, 1 beef kabob, and 1 beef Tikka kabob, as well as soup, salad, bread, and rice. Such bright and savory flavors. My tastebuds are still singing. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. She reminds me of Tula's aunt on My Big Fat Greek Wedding. They are open late, until 12:00am, and also have North American food selections to please every palate.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Vegetarian options: Tons of vegetarian options.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible ( on street level.)

Recommended dishes: Salad, Tikka, Ishtar Salad, Lentil Soup
