I ordered Kimchi Pork Bowl from UofS Place Riel, and I must say I was deeply disappointed. For the price I paid, I expected a meal that was satisfying both in quality and quantity, but what I received was far from it. The portions were shockingly small, two small slices of pork and tons of onion—barely enough to qualify as a proper meal. To make matters worse, the flavors were underwhelming.

I rarely write negative reviews, but in this case, I feel compelled to warn others. Unless you’re okay with spending a lot for very little in return, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

The first time we tried this place we loved it. I went online and immediately posted a five star review. After many disappointments I am done with that place.

There is never any consistency. The last time we ordered they told us the chicken is now a whole chicken randomly chopped into pieces and an order would consist of random pieces. It did not. In our last order we got 4 wing drums/ small drumsticks chopped in half, two small wing ends, and four pieces of back with no real meat on them. There was very little actual meat. More than half that order would be considered scrap in any other kitchen.

They told us specifically they included all parts of the chicken which is clearly untrue. It appears they strip the big pieces of meat off a chicken carcass for other menu items, and then chop us what remains into portions to be be fried.

This place has more often than not screwed up our orders. We always went back because when it’s good, it’s damn good. After this last visit we felt we were sold an order of mostly scraps and lied to about it. We’ve decided they are never getting our money again.

Copying this here as they have two google search results for the same ghost kitchen.

Not as advertised. No dine in, food is premade or frozen. Running as a ghost kitchen.

Also no washrooms, no servers, and no help with navigating their poor ordering system.

When we got our food, the portions were tiny and not what was on the website. We asked for more broth to fill the portions, and the chef gave us grief and picked a fight over 4 extra ounces of broth. We asked for a refund, which they didnt want to give as we didnt want to pay 62 dollars for a tiny amount of Ramen.

The chef then stared at us as someone else came to process the refund, and seemingly wanted to pick a fight. Unreal.

Further update: They never did issue the refund. Just cancelled our order and kept my money. Will be issuing a chargeback.

I have been a regular customer - but tonight I didn’t get the chicken I’d ordered, which was my protein. They offered a gift card to cover the cost, however that doesn’t address that I don’t have the food I paid for and drove to pick up. Super disappointed, probably won’t be back

Chicken is extremely oily and taste is also not good plus it feel like it under cook if you like to waste your money go ahead and it but pricey as well, to be frank price isn’t big concern but quantity is too less for the price and taste is awful

Went to the new location at the U of S and had the Nashville Sando which was awesome. Also had an oreo flavoured cream cheese donut that was a delicious treat.

Food was pretty decent albeit pricey, but they've turned it into takeout only. And on top of that once you're there you need to order online, you can't place an order with the staff. I thought that was a bizarre choice.

Veggie Chili Goma is the best Ramen I've had. It's incredible. Folks always seem pleased and grateful for my business too. Would highly highly recommend.

Vegetarian options: The Veggie Black ramen is good but the Veggie Chili Goma is the best ever.

Got the Tonkatsu black ramen and spicy creamy chicken ramen as frozen ramens to go. Got home to make them. I find that it takes longer than the 8 minutes to make the meal on glass top stove. I preferred the spicy creamy chicken ramen as it had more of a spicy kick and flavours. Overall, it was good ramen. It was $16 per ramen.

My favourite is the waves bowls, I usually go with salmon but sometimes tuna. Definitely would recommend this - but always preface that with it being poke style (raw) I know some people don’t like that.Dynamic range of flavours and textures.Bao buns are also very good, but pretty expensive per bun. I have a dairy allergy and found it tricky to know what I was eating since their menu doesn’t mark allergens - turns out the bao bun is MILK based. ? explains why I was sick every time I had one.

The items I have tried from here are usually quite good, I am a huge fan of the ‘by the pound’ dynamite tuna however even though it is always good-it’s never consistently the same. Embarrassing maybe-but I ordered the dynamite tuna twice in one day lol- and the first order was ABSOLUTE perfection omg so damn good. That’s why I ordered again for supper and yea it was good, it just wasn’t AMAZING. I ordered the sashimi (tuna & salmon) for the first time which will also be the last time. The pieces were so thickly cut that I may as well have made it myself to be honest. And your complaints are met with the standard ‘I’m sorry’ but IMO when I’m paying $20 for 8 pieces of fish I should either get what I have ordered, an offer for them to remake the dish properly or some type of store credit. I really enjoy Ko Lab however the more restaurants Saskatoon gets that serve the same dishes, I think this restaurant will dwindle due to its inconsistency and lack of customer service.

This place is 100% a gem of Saskatoon. This is by far the highest quality Ramen that I have experienced in Saskatchewan. They put in ample ingredients and a fair and delicious helping of meat, the noodles are fresh and delicious, and the broth is amazing. I usually opt for a creamy pork broth. The Korean Fried Chicken is also very good, just make sure that you pick it up quickly lest it get a big soggy.I really wish they would open up their restaurant for sit in again as I had the pleasure of doing that once and it was fantastic. I usually try to get something from here when im in Saskatoon and have never been disappointed.
