Excellent starter and pasta. Service was exceptional as well. The menu, though not extensive, is diverse enough to have options for anyone.

I'm generally not a fan of fine dining (high costs, small portions etc). In spite of that, I had a wonderful time at Little Grouse. While the food wasn't particularly filling, it was fresh and delicious. The Squash Agnolotti was one of the best pastas I've ever had. Service was solid.

The service and ambience were great. The pasta itself was very well done. However, we were a little surprised at the lack of flavour in the entrees and appetizers. We were going to have dinner at Primal (which is always amazing), but instead opted for Little Grouse as we hadn't been there in years. Maybe it was just an off night, but the food was underwhelming. We'll give it another shot, but unfortunately this experience was very “it's fine, but not amazing”.

My wife had the Arctic Char which she loved and the chef tried a new item which i ordered. Gnocchi with braised short rib and it was fantastic. I hope he adds it to the menu, but i will be back either way! Madison and the other staff also knowledgeable and very attentive. This is for sure going to be added to our restaurant list. Thanks for the great evening. M and B

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our recent dinner at Little Grouse on the Prairie. It was some of the best service we have received. The staff was attentive, made excellent food and wine suggestions but also left us to enjoy our meal. We loved the extra and unique tastes combined in the food. We enjoyed a broccolini appetizer, a scallops appetizer, tortellini, chocolate pudding dessert and a terrific Italian bottle of wine.

Food was ok if you like puree loaded with butter. Had the 4 course meal that had no salad or any sort of vegetable. This is not a menu for someone who is lactose intolerant. They were not able to make any substitutions. Food was barely warm and tasted like it had been prepared earlier in the day. We knew we had a 2 hour limit on our table. We ordered our food as soon as we sat down. We did not receive anything for the next 30 minutes or any attention from the wait staff. We got our dessert course 15 minutes before our 2 hour table limit. We were offered to go boxes for our dessert and told our 2 hours were up and we should pay the bill. Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone and really felt we were inconvencing the wait staff by being there. For the $335 price you would have experience better food and service. Don't waste your time here, better restaurants in Saskatoon.

The food was good. It could be because it was Italian but none of the flavours were knock your socks off great. I think the appetizers were the highlight for me with the meatball sauce and the squash being the best. I ate gluten free and they catered to that well. From another review I decided to order a la cart rather than the 4-7 courses and I think we got greater value and better choices because we were not going to have dessert anyway.

Small town. Small minds.I heard a couple say that as I was walking down the street toward this restaurant. It's such an unfair statement, especially when applied to Saskatoon. This is a wonderful little town that punches above its weight. The meal I had here may have been the best I've had in 2023 (or at least tied with the one I had in Marfa, Texas). From the scallions to the pasta to the fish to the pudding like dessert paired with a sweet wine, each course complemented the next. The folks here were all so nice and I trusted them to surprise me with each aspect of the meal. I love it when I can hand that decision to experts. In such a short time, I've come to love Saskatoon. The people here have been great and with a meal like I had tonight, I'll put up this small town against much bigger ones anytime. No small minds here.
