Service was terrible. Food came out cold. Appetizers came to the table after mains. Wait times were excessive. Waited 30 mins plus for bills and they were all the wrong bills. No manager was on shift on a Saturday night to discuss any issues. First time experiencing Odla for my whole 7 person group and it is safe to say none of us will go back again. Very disappointing experience, and we were all looking forward to it unfortunately.

Absolutely awful experience at Odla. Had a reservation for 7 for my friends birthday and from the time we walked in to the time we left it just got worse and worse. Took a long time for our server to come take a drink order, and an even longer time to come back to take food order. We asked for their bread as an appetizer and it never came, we were sitting with empty drinks for a long time before having to flag the server down, only for her to take one persons drink order and run off. The food took extremely long to come out and everything came ice cold which made many of the dishes not as pleasant, and the bread appetizer was the last thing on the table.
We were there for almost 3 hours and only got 2 drinks, and when asked for our bills it took 40 minutes for us to receive them, and many were incorrect so was almost an hour long process to get our bills and pay. Would never return.

Last night I had the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I went to Odla for a birthday dinner, there was 7 of us. Our reservation was at 7:15pm and didn’t leave until 9:45pm!! Upon arrival we were taken to the table but not greeted for at least 20 minutes, then took at least another 20 minutes for us to receive a drink. Ordered our food and asked for appetizers to come out first, when it was taking an exceedingly long time someone at the table asked and the server said the kitchen was backed up and she would check on it, that it should be out shortly. Did not come back until she was bringing out the entrees. Ironically the appetizers were the very last thing to be put on the table. We had to ask for a second drink about being there for over 1.5 hours and as we flagged the server over for another drink she only took one persons drink order and was about to walk off when we said we have a few more drinks that we’d like to order. The food was all ice cold by the time we got it, they did take the stuffed pasta off one bill as they manager said it was under cooked. We asked for our bills and it took 35 minutes from the time we asked for the bills, to pay and leave. We spoke to a manager after who said “yeah I did have anxiety when I saw you guys paying.” Not one manager came up to us after it was quite obvious that our server was struggling and our table was quite unhappy. Not to mention it was our friends birthday!!! I would not recommend this restaurant.

Food here is great, service is AMAZING. If I could make one suggestion though, it would be to lean in to the shared/family style they've got going on. Menu seems a little disjointed as is. We liked sharing sides plus the eggplant and pork but the trout, while delicious seemed liked it was from a completely different menu. Also things like gnocchi seemed like it should belong with the sides? If not for our server Matt, we would probably have had a very hard time ordering properly. Seems like there is a better way. Why not make all the proteins like the pork? Potatoes on some, none on others?

That said, everything tasted fantastic!

odla was genuinely the best dining experience I’ve ever had in Saskatoon. The food was like nothing I’ve had before, every dish was so unique and you can really tell it’s farm to table. Jason gave top tier service and Rowan made bangin drinks behind the bar. First time and I will be coming back again and again!

Pasta was good. Overall the menu is a lot of shared plates. Even the entree sizes were on the small side. I was still hungry after. The auto gratuity on a standard 5 person table was surprising. I’ve never heard of that being applied for groups less than 8 people. And this is in Saskatoon…

Wow, Odla on Broadway has to be my favorite meal since moving to Saskatoon. The ambiance reminds me of home where chic eateries are commonplace and many restaurants feature whisk(e)y menus. The playlist inside featured many songs from the South which we dug a lot. My wife had the penicillin cocktail and she really liked it, the JP Wiser 18 was one of my first Canadian pours. The farm to table concept is on point and every bite we had fantastic. We will definitely be back.

Everything about our experience was amazing. Been wanting to visit for a while but hadn’t found the occasion so ended up taking my mum who was visiting from England. Due to their commitment to local produce and flavours we hoped to give her a taste of what Saskatchewan has to offer and we were all blown away. We opted for the 4 course tasting menu, and at every course there was something that caught us by surprise in the best way. Jason our server was gently attentive and he and the kitchen paced our meal so well, we never felt rushed but allowed to enjoy the meal. Highlights from each course for us were: marinated olives, Brussels sprouts, pickerel, and the chocolate mousse. But do the chefs tasting, trust them to take you on a flavour journey - it’s worth it!!

We had the four-course tasting menu with a medium-sized group of 8 out for a business supper. It's served family style, farm-to-table fresh local ingredients, and they were able to accommodate some allergy concerns.
I think this was among my top dining experiences ever.

As we had a somewhat larger group we may have received a bit more adventurous sampling than you normally would, but everything we got was amazing and it felt like the chef was making it 'just for us'. I am normally a really picky eater but I tried everything presented and truly enjoyed it all. Even foods I don't normally eat at all - I really liked. The first couple of courses were mainly (all?) vegetarian but were all super interesting, unique and tasty so I didn't even notice the 'lack' of meat until well into the service, and by the time we got our 'meat course' including steak and fish we were quite full. Note this four-course is a longer process, we were well into 2+ hours (which is fine when you really want to have a dining experience).

Even the cocktails on the menu (including non-alcoholic) were delicious. The server was very knowledgeable and friendly as well.

I was proud that we gave a group of folks from across Canada a great experience and real sense of local cuisine.

Commenting on some other reviews - this is not fast food, so prepare to wait for dishes to be prepared just for you after you order. It's also smaller portion sizes than what you may see elsewhere - that's how they're intended. Ask the server for recommendations if you're concerned you'll go hungry.

We did the 4 course pairings dinner. It was absolutely excellent. Superb service, and perfect pairings with each dish. My Mom is celiac and mentioned she finally didn’t feel like she was missing out. I highly recommend for those who appreciate the experience of fine dining. Highly recommend!

For a special occasion we tried Odla for the first time , and we will definitely be going back! We wanted to try something different and chose the four course chef’s menu with wine pairings. It was one of the most wonderful meals we’ve had in Saskatoon this year.

From the homemade sourdough and butter infused with honey to the divine cacio e Pepe gnocchi, to the melt in your mouth short rib with savoury crispy onions, followed by a decadent chocolate cake with sour cherries, these are just a sampling of the taste sensations we had. The wine was also superbly chosen and we appreciated the staff explaining the nuances of each dish and wine pairing before each course.

We love the family style dining and my only recommendation was that our table was a little cramped in the corner right next to another one (which made it difficult to have conversations)- though I noted much more spacious options elsewhere in the space.

We had gone here before pre covid and it was excellent. Hard to believe they could step up from that. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable about everything super fun and polite. Seemed to be able to read our minds when we needed anything. We did the 4 course tasting shareable plates and it was incredible. Between the 2 of us we ate for nearly 2 and a half hours but were not uncomfortably full after. I'm a big dude and it was lots for me. They had a slight delay for like 10 minutes bringing our first course which we hardly noticed and they gave us a second dessert at the end because of this. I don't think you can go anywhere else in the city and get such good food for the money we paid which was very reasonable for the fine dining we experienced. 6 out of 5 stars.

As usual, we experienced a great meal, a nice ambiance, service, and attention to detail. We love that we can take our time enjoying the company and fare. We enjoyed the tapas experience with all our favourites on the menu.
