Went here for valentine’s , we had a reservation for 7pm. we got there at 650 and was brought to our table by 715 and we didn’t get to order til 750? No water on table or anything, just two people with badly designed menus and our rumbling stomach. I get that it was busy but they should be more organized for how expensive the food is. The couple beside us was waiting for food a long dang time - I saw them place their order when we got there and their food arrived at 8pm when we left. They also tried to get the wait staff’s attention but they passed by her twice. People were in line to get a table and the couple at the very front was skipped for some reason so they were waiting for a long time - they also left. Props to that couple tho, they were being very patient.
We cancelled our order and left. Gotta say, not the greatest experience. Please, either hire more staff or arrange a better system so the wait time is not as long or even be more organized .

The food was delicious but very little amount for the prices. 9 small short ribs for $35, a very small amount of beef bulgoki (1/2 cup) for 2 people for $30. And banchan refills or rice are extra charges. It was sad that they charge so much as we have liked this place for Korean bbq but we won’t be back. Too expensive for what you get. $100 later and we are still hungry.

My boyfriend and I came here to celebrate our one year anniversary.
we did book a reservation online but when we arrived it wasn’t busy and they didn’t need to look it up- we weren’t asked our name.
The entry is a small little shop door out front below the sign but the restaurant is upstairs. You check in on the first floor though where it must be a take out desk?
Staff brought us to our table.
VERY attentive staff and super polite and professional.
we ordered the Korean BBQ option for two. Picked beef bulgogi and the Denver steak.
The menu is a bit weird and hard to navigate. They don’t list what the sides are- you just get what they’ve decided is listed as a side. They will tell you when you ask- but they do not have the option to select from a list.
We added side rice to our dishes, we also ordered sushi.
The sushi was fantastic. It tasted fresh, the rice to content ratio was perfect and the flavours were spot on. We got the half dynamite half cali roll and the sweet wasabi sauce was lovely. It also had perfect presentation.
The bbq experience was great. He set us up very tenderly & even arranged everything in an aesthetic manner.
At one point I dropped my fork and the employee must’ve been paying attention as he quickly grabbed me a new one without me needing to ask.
The flavours were perfect. The bulgogi beef was probably the best and we highly recommend it. We also enjoyed the side of the chicken balls & the onions and carrots had nice flavours.
It’s served with sauces- I only really used the soy sauce. They give you flavoured salt & romaine leaves so you can make yourself little dragon boats with the meat you cook.
You need to ask for fork or Utensils as the standard fare is chopsticks.
The heating induction dish is not dangerous or scary- they adjust it at the table. From time to time you’ll experience smoke in the air that may be a problem for people with breathing difficulties despite the industrial fans they have in the room with you.
Didn’t feel there as any risk of burning ourselves or Injury which was nice.
The tables are large and accommodate lots of items.
We really enjoyed our social round table style meal and we would return. It is a bit pricey but it was perfect for what we did get quality wise and made a great anniversary dinner experience.
Note: no parking lot. Must find street parking and adhere to signs for if payment is required.

Food was really good in this restaurant. Also the staff, he made sure that we all get what we want. He’s checking on us more often.

Too expensive for the bbq meat. It’s frozen and the amount is extremely limited. Also, there’s only one server which makes everything slow. We didn’t have a good experience here

I absolutely love Oreno! Amazing sushi!
My previous go-to used to be sushi raku, they used to be my fav… but after a some bad experiences with them (rolls drowned in unagi sauce when dining in, pathetically small rolls and scarce fillings for takeout, scallop roll that was grossly fishy and inedible) Oreno will be my main sushi spot from now on.
Nicely sized sushi rolls, very generous with seafood and avocado fillings. Unique and delicious miso mayo sauce on the dynamite roll. Imitation crab used in the cali roll is like a full stick of polluck versus that gross shredded garbage.
My only gripe is that they do not open until 4:30pm on weekdays. I’d love to get lunch there sometime during the week. I suppose they have their reasons for opening later, but it’s still a bit of a bummer.
Regardless, 10/10 my all time fav sushi place in Saskatoon!!!
