Oreno Korean BBQ is, without question, the best sushi restaurant in Saskatoon and honestly, likely the best in Saskatchewan. It may even rank among the top sushi experiences I have had in Western Canada.
Every bite was dialed in. The flavors hit every part of the palate. Smoky, fatty, chewy, clean, and perfectly balanced. The fish was incredibly fresh, the rice was cooked and seasoned beautifully, and the temperature control on the sushi was spot on, something that separates good sushi from great sushi.
Even the standard rolls were on a completely different level than what you will find elsewhere.
I am genuinely conflicted about writing this review because part of me wants to keep it to myself and my wife. But places doing work at this level deserve to be flooded with people.
Bonus points. Japa Shack downstairs makes the best chicken burgers in Saskatoon, hands down. Whether you are upstairs for sushi or getting takeout from downstairs, you really cannot miss.

Literally the BEST place ever. My family gets at least this once a month because of how good it is. It's filling, delicious, and worth every money. The atmosphere is so homely and the service is impeccable! I also love the tea so muchhh! It has a nutty aroma to it. Ugh 😫 6/5 stars it's just so good!

Had a really bad experience here. The waitress was very unprofessional and brought our food in four separate rounds instead of together, which was frustrating. The sushi portions were small, and the soup was disappointing in taste and quality. Overall, poor service and poor value. Not recommended.

Too expansive by my opinion, paid 80$ for one person and left hungry. Food is tasty, but amount of meat is not enough, place needs renovation, stuff is trying they best, not going to visit again.

Barely got any food for the price. The amount of food we got for spending 60+ dollars is ludicrous, not just the meat but also the sides. What little we did have was tasty enough but is was depressing how little we got.

Our waitress was phenomenal. I have been to the other hot por in Town and they are totally different experiences. I had seen posts about the service here and they were not wrong. My wife and I had a date here and it was well worth it. The homemade Kimichi was amazing. We had about 5 servings of it. The Kimichi was an after thought to order but it is so good. Give me a thumbs down 👎 if you don't agree after trying it.
The Soju was tasty as well.

Stopped in for all you can eat hot pot, was a great price so didnt expect too much. Was blown away, all the sides were so fresh and tasty, the meats were well seasoned and delicious. You have to order things in small portions they dont let you order a whole heap of stuff which is really good because you tend to not waste. You can order unlimited of everything but only a couple dishes at a time which I actually appreciated. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the decor was ok, but the star of the place the food did not disappoint. I wish I lived in Saskatoon this would be a regular spot.

Good experience at this restaurant. Attentive and quick service. Although the bibimbap sauce is a little too sweet for my liking, next time I will ask for less sauce on my bowl and make it a little spicier, if they can accommodate.

Went here for valentine’s , we had a reservation for 7pm. we got there at 650 and was brought to our table by 715 and we didn’t get to order til 750? No water on table or anything, just two people with badly designed menus and our rumbling stomach. I get that it was busy but they should be more organized for how expensive the food is. The couple beside us was waiting for food a long dang time - I saw them place their order when we got there and their food arrived at 8pm when we left. They also tried to get the wait staff’s attention but they passed by her twice. People were in line to get a table and the couple at the very front was skipped for some reason so they were waiting for a long time - they also left. Props to that couple tho, they were being very patient.
We cancelled our order and left. Gotta say, not the greatest experience. Please, either hire more staff or arrange a better system so the wait time is not as long or even be more organized .
