Food and Service were great and as expected. However the atmosphere felt dark due to the lighting, conflicting with the classic diner vibe being retro. Felt like they tried making it modern with dark moody lighting and dark bar, but that conflicts with the classic diner theme...

Some of the one star reviews of this restaurant describe my experience to a T. There were seven of us in our party, five adults and two small children. Drink orders were taken and served in a timely manner. The food took quite a while to arrive, the waitress told us that another large party had arrived just before us, so there was a backlog. The restaurant was not overly busy, so a backlog was a bit of a surprise. My meal was poor. I ate some of, and left some on the plate. One of the reviews that I just read suggested that their meal had been under a heat lamp for some time. That is what mine was like. I could not cut the sandwich bun with a knife. My meal had onion rings. I ate the ones that were not too bad. I left several behind, as they broke into pieces, if you picked them up, they were so dry. The chicken on my sandwich was good, and did not seem to be over cooked, however the bacon on the sandwich was cooked, or dried to far more than just crispy. Not a steak restaurant, to be fair, but the medium rare steak was medium. Two other sandwiches were good. Milkshakes were good.

The server was friendly. The kitchen backlog was certainly not her fault and she did come to the table after we had been waiting for food for some time to provide the reason noted above for the delay.

Based on my experience, I could not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

This is a very cool place to eat and usually has decent service and food but unfortunately tonight's meal was a bust. We waited 75 mins for our food!! When it finally came 2 of the 5 dishes were stale and cold as if they were made when the order was first placed and sat for 75mins. We were seated in a back room area with another large party. It was so loud in the small room, none of the adults at our table could hear each other speak.
On the plus side our kids enjoyed watching the 50s cartoons and the kids meal portions were pretty large and came with a giant cookie.

I loved the service here so much I had to leave a review. I dont usually leave reviews but I felt this time it was necessary. I took my father in law and his woman to go eat as well my wife joined us. My father in law is well into his 60's and he had trouble with some overcooked ribs. but rather than to have any kind of attitude towards him they made it very easy to address the situation. He ended up getting some ribs and they did not add it to the bill though I did ended up tipping anyway because I loved the respect they towards their customers. Also the woman that work here are so beautiful lol I hope they see this review and give themselves a pat on the back because thats the way hosts are supposed to treat their customers. :)

My fiancé and I came to Saskatoon for a little get away on our holidays. We pondered on where to eat for supper, as we wanted something different than just the casual quick trip to McDonald’s or something.
My father highly recommended this place and I saw a rave of a video review from Clayton Kroeker on Facebook. So we thought; what the hell, 50’s style dinner sounded cool enough!
We walked in and were immediately greeted with smiles and a welcoming attitude. We were sat down and within about 5 minutes we had made up our mind and were ready to eat. Our server came over and took our order, which she was a delight to speak to. We waited about 10 minutes for our food, (which was quite quick I thought for being a supper rush)
Anyways my fiancé got a poutine dog which she thought was amazing but comically messy as expected!
I ordered a Cajun chicken alfredo. (the mustang and sally)
I took about one to two bites before I hollered our waitress over, scared as to what I was about to complaint about; she asked is everything alright? I immediately told her; please go tell your cook this is undoubtedly the most amazing Alfredo I’ve ever eaten. The look of relief on her face when all I wanted to tell her was how incredibly pleased I was with our food. I then learnt that I must’ve been lucky as the cook at the time; (Eric) *SO SORRY IF I SPELT THAT WRONG* has been complimented in the past about his otherworldly Alfredo and Mac and cheese. Needless to say our supper tonight was a 4000/10. Couldn’t have been any better! Even my poutine was elegantly delicious. I’m sorry I didn’t get our servers name but she was fantastic as could be. This place is an absolute MUST to have a bite to eat at. From an absolute pasta maniac. You guys kicked ASS. I will be back on our next trip to Saskatoon. It was an absolute pleasure.

Been there once before was served by manager...she was awesome and attentive...food was amazing!!!! This time however...quality of plating and food was poor...soup was chicken vegtable... seemed like it was sitting all day, veggies were gross and soft and seemed like they were frozen from a bag and not made from scratch. Kids meals seemed small this time and portion size poor. My steak and onion rings were cold. My wife sent her poutine back because it tasted off. Love the atmosphere, unfortunately we won't going back!!!
SIDE NOTE: the bathrooms should have small foot stools so small children can reach the soap and wash their hands.
All and alll the night was expensive and a total fail!!!!

We arrived around 6:15 on a Saturday during the summer and it wasn’t very busy. There were some fun classic cars outside, which added to the atmosphere walking up and leaving.
We didn’t have to wait, as there were plenty of empty tables. The TVs were playing various sports and Disney’s Dumbo.
We ordered within 5 minutes of sitting down and it was almost 45 minutes to get our food. I’m not sure why, as it wasn’t anything fancy and the place wasn’t busy. It didn’t help that we showed up hungry, but waiting for 45 minutes was frustrating.
The food was alright. It wasn’t anything special, but tasted good.
We had the Caddy Burger, Pink Caddy Burger, The Wanderer, and the chicken, bacon Mac and cheese.
The chicken in the pink caddy was juicy and the flavours were nice. The bun was tasty. The burger patty on the caddy burger was tasty and well seasoned, and the flavours with the 1000 Island and their caddy sauce was a nice combination.
The fries were good, nothing special.
The meat on the wanderer was tough, but the gravy was tasty. Overall, it was good. For the same price as a burger, you get two sides, which is nice.
The Mac and cheese was tasty. The chicken was good, but the bacon didn’t add a lot of flavour, it ended up being more of a texture difference more than anything.
