Always a great time. Fantastic food and drinks

Sam provided excellent service, the chef prepared the food to perfection, and the freshness and taste of the food was one of the best Saskatoon has to offer! We will be back!

Pop is my absolute favourite go-to any time I want a fancy dinner in Saskatoon. I love the vibe, I love that the decor sort of feels like I’m at a grandpa’s house with the mounted fish and 80s exposed stone, the modelling reruns on TV are such a fun touch, and the mirrors make it feel way bigger than it is. I always come for the oysters and wine flights, and stay for the interesting and ever changing mains. I still dream about their nettle gnocchi. This time I came for my birthday, tried the parsnip ravioli with Gorgonzola and apples (oml), and my basque cheesecake (so good) came out with a sparkler. They made up an orange wine flight for me because their usual wine flight was sold out and it was incredible. The servers are always so lovely, the music is always good, 10/10, no notes.

The place doesn't really have a theme and looks like a bunch of random stuff on walls. Feels uninviting and for some reason the vibe felt not very comfortable and felt like I was somewhere I didn't belong. Music was way to loud and the seats and tables are cramped and too small. Oh and we waited half an hour for our oysters, but they did give us half off because of that which we appreciate. Food was good, but again the atmosphere made us leave after appetizers. Probably wouldn't come again

I came across a scenario that I'm curious if it's anyone else has experienced at this establishment

I was approached online buy a female named Aubrey, she invited me to meet her at this establishment. When arriving there she told me that she was on her way and then requested that I order a platter and a drink for her telling me exactly which ones knowing the menu perfectly obviously being very versed in their menu.

After about an hour of waiting it became painfully obvious that I was being stood up for no reason and when I asked about it she got mad at me telling me that I was being very impatient and apparently snapping at her.

After reading a few reviews on here it came to my mind that it is possible that if a restaurant was getting bad reviews and is in a bad area of town but trying to place itself as a high-end lounge and is maybe not doing that great one way of getting people through the door is to trick them to come in under the guise of a date that never shows up because now I am a patron of this restaurant due to circumstances I otherwise would not have chosen.

The menu seems to be overpriced with very small portions and as far as the area of town, you don't have to step two feet outside the door to see very grubby people walking by holding their pants up and asking for change.

I do not recommend visiting

This place is a hidden gem in Saskatoon!

When you walk in the doors, the ambience immediately transforms you to a boujie downtown restaurant you'd normally find in a big city like Toronto or Vancouver.

The menu has some great choices for both wine lovers and those who are not big wine fans. The wine flight however, was to die for! The wines are so unique and taste different than any other wine tasting I have done. I even enjoyed the chardonnays which are usually my least favourite. The food os also amazing. I highly recommend the fresh oysters!

I would recommend this place to anyone and I cant wait to come back!

Went to Pop recently for a special occasion (it was my mom’s birthday) and I’m so glad we chose to come here. The service was exceptional (thank you, Meg) - staff had even drawn a little birthday hat on the mirror behind my moms seat to mark the occasion. We each started with a cocktail and everyone loved theirs. I had a crabapple sour which was delicious, I also loved my sister’s tomato martini. It seems thar the drink menu rotates seasonally based on which local ingredients they want to showcase.

As for the food, we shared a variety of dishes including oysters, shrimp cocktail, bison tartar, burrata, mortadella sandwiches and steak frites. Every bite was delicious and the entire meal felt very luxurious. I particularly loved the oysters with kimchi, bison tartar and mortadella sandwiches.

The entire experience was a 10/10 and I could not recommend this place enough. There really isn’t anywhere like it in the city and I feel like you’re getting great value with how amazing the food and drinks are and how upscale the overall experience is.

Had a wonderful experience at Pop Wine Bar for a small birthday gathering. Meg, our server, was incredibly welcoming and attentive, expertly guiding us in our wine and food choices. We all enjoyed our cocktails, especially the local and seasonal themed offerings such as the tomato martini and crab apple sour. All were tasty and deftly crafted and the Italian rosé wine Meg suggested for us was spot on. Our table shared an array of small plates including the fresh oysters with tangy kimchi, sturgeon caviar, shrimp cocktail, creamy buratta, bison tartar, mini mortadella sandwiches (Warning: these may become seriously habit forming!) and steak frites. Every plate was beautifully presented and every bite beyond delicious. Bravo Pop! Thanks for such a special evening. See you again soon.

Great wine selection. I had a 6 oz glass of Rosehall Neptune from Niagara. Lovely fruit forward elegance. Please go and please ignore the nitwits who say the plates were too small.

The tomato dinner was a wonderful experience from start to finish. A fantastic menu with natural wine pairings created by people that are clearly very passionate about both. It was an incredibly unique event for Saskatoon and I hope they do something similar again soon!

We had an amazing experience. The food was incredible, drink selection was quite large and the staff were so wonderful Thank you again to our wonderful server who went our of her way to grab me a bottle of wine from the sister restaurant since they didn't stock the one I was hoping to find ! We will be back soon!

Loved the menu and super enjoyed as many of the appetizers and small plates as the two of us could muster. The Kimchi Oysters were amazing - so much so that we ordered a second (maybe a third?) of the same. For a "wine" bar, I would have liked more variety either by the glass or bottle. Not many higher end wines to choose from. Ambience didn't seem to match the menu but if that isn't a big consideration very much worth going. Menu was great and I'm sure we'll return to try some other items we didn't get a chance to the first time.
