i love this place! so many options for GF desserts, breads, etc. probably some of the best gluten free food i've had. i LOVE the vegan Nanaimo bar, one of my favourites! lots of other vegan options to choose from as well! most of the desserts that are ready to go are perfect single servings, but they are good size portions, definitely get your moneys worth.
there are some pints of soups and larger cakes and in the fridge that are ready to take home as well. (mostly food + desserts that you can order and eat right away, and you can also place larger orders for cakes or larger portions ahead of time and pickup later which is nice for parties or other events.)
The customer service was really good. The pastries in the store looked amazing but the cake that we ordered was not good at all. It was not pleasant to eat and the leftovers were tossed in the compost. There was a mistake with the writing on the cake that they tried to fix before we got there and they just smeared it trying to fix it (they just had to hide it with more icing!). I didn't mind paying $55 for a special cake, but this cake wasn't worth it. It should have been in the discount section.

This place is a must stop every trip to Saskatoon!! Everything is gluten free and tastes GREAT! Today we had a key lime tart (no picture, kid ate it too fast!), a lemon coconut cheesecake (no picture as I ate it too quick), a peanut butter tart pictures, a bag of peanut butter cookies and a Nanimo bar square.
The guy working the til was very friendly and gave us some utensils for the road.
Easy to find and there was plenty of street parking.

I went with my gluten free friend today and was AMAZED at the incredible selection. They have tons of gluten free and vegan options. I grabbed some cheeseburger soup and potato salad from the cooler, the desserts also looked perfect. I can’t wait to surprise my friends with dietary restrictions with goodies from this place!

The best!! Since my daughter's diagnosis she has missed out on so many treats but whenever we come to the city, we make a point of stocking up at The Griffin! The staff is so kind, patient and informative. We appreciated the time they took to recommend and discuss their products. We even got to try some samples. The food is delicious! I have celiac and am so happy to find a place that is 100% safe for me to purchase food from. The staff are friendly.
I took away the strawberry rhubarb pie/tart. It said gluten free but I was expecting at least a gluten free crust. The fruit was so over baked, it was puree. It was too sugary and not tart enough. The crumble on the top was very sparse. For the price, it was disappointingly a rip off.
