I forgot to take photos when the food was first served but I got beef cold rolls and a charbroiled pork noodle bowl. Very tasty meat and large portions.

Pinehouse location: we enjoyed the food but when we went to pay with a card, it was rejected 3 times so the owner said she would fix it . After we left we realized she had given herself a 30 percent tip. This is a family owned and run restaurant so I don’t believe in tipping that much. Service was not that great although she did refill our water glasses. They lost our business even though it’s in a convenient location and we liked the food.

Pinehouse place is the worst place to eat in the whole city. They serve old food that's over 8 hours old. I will never eat there again.

We initially enjoyed this restaurant when it opened. We were there a few days ago and ordered diced almond chicken and vegetables along with several other dishes. The vegetables were diced so small it seemed like they came out of a bag of mixed frozen vegetables and I was hard pressed to find any chicken in this dish. I didn't order "vegetables that may have some chicken in it," as this item was under the "chicken" category. The ginger beef came on a sizzling platter on which the underside of the beef was over-done because of the heat. We have no desire to go back, which is sad because of the great start this restaurant made.

Terrible customer service. Server did not even offer to rectify the situation after my meal came out with not typical ingredients I didn’t like and they were not advertised it was on the dish, she didn’t even a offer me menu after i didn’t like what I got. Sat there while my s/o ate and I had no food and no menu to even order something different and the server NEVER came back after tossing the food I sent back not even to check if I needed anything or wanted to order something else. Still paid full price even though I didn’t eat. 0/10 do not recommend unless you also want to be ignored as a paying customer here. Left in tears, hungry and feeling stolen from.

This was at the Preston one but the food was bland as all can be. The sauce on my noodles literally looked like thickened fat it had no colour. The sauce for the dish I ordered (the birds nest) is something that's usually very flavourful with a combination of soy sauce and oyster sauce which, with the colour of this seems they missed it entirely as it was barely even a light golden brown. I also was not expecting soggy and mushy warm bean sprouts on this dish as I've never seen another restaurant in this city put them on the dish. When I told the server I really didn't like it she took the plate away and threw it out which is fine as I was not going to eat it anyway but she never offered to even get me a menu in case I wanted something else or replace it. The server was horribly rude when we brought up maybe a discount as I'd eaten like 4 bites. Nope she started to argue with me that bean sprouts were a normal thing on this dish and that that was a preference so I should've told them. How was I to tell them when I didn't know it would even come with soggy bean sprouts???I've never in my life seen this dish come with bean sprouts and especially soggy ones and I couldn't even find a recipe that even mentions having them so it isn't a typical thing obviously. They also don't say ANYWHERE on the menu, online menu, or even have it in pictures that there's bean sprouts on it. I was also told by the server that someone had to pay for the food so obviously they aren't doing well financially if they can't even comp 25% off a bill for trash food that I didn't even eat. All in all left hungry with a horrible taste in my mouth as I'd just spent 18$ on a shitty dish that I couldn't even take home if I wanted to try to fix it myself. and left crying as I was very hungry and had never had someone so rude who didn't even try to be helpful. If I could give this place 0 stars I would have. 0/10 Do not recommend! I've never left a restaurant crying before.

I walked into this place needed to pee(a crime) as I see the sign on the door in the dark thinking “WASHROOMS FOR CUSTOMERS!!!!” meant come in and pee. My bad. As I enter and ask to use the washroom I’m immediately, instantaneously, screamed at for nothing at all. Me and my sore belly quietly asked what is happening lol and he keeps yelling. I said you won’t be getting business if you talk to customers like that and exit using my foot. Another crime. He follows me out screaming like mad and I think I’m gonna get assaulted by a crazy man and get into my car, belly still aching, code red situation. My buddies watching the whole thing. Never been so shocked over the smallest thing. Crazy experience, and will definitely lookout carefully the next time I need to pee on the run. Good story tho.

Food was horrible very bland. Very disappointed. Spend $100 on take out. When I called to complain about the food the owner eventually hung up the phone on me. Never once tried to fix and make it up to us. Specially, when we’ve been there, so many times. An effort to try to fix or compensate in anyways would’ve been nice .Will never go there again and definitely not recommend.

The food is good quality at a reasonable price. Have had a variety of dishes, and can recommend the noodle bowls.Haven't eaten in the restaurant, but I have picked up food, and the decor is fairly bland, so I'll likely stick with take out.

This is for the preston location. This is my second negative experience out of four times we have tried food from there (two take out times, two dine ins) We ordered take out. Arrived and food was ready but staff noticed that the one item was wrong, so I waited in my car. Got home and the corrected order was right, however the other two orders wrong. Called the restaurant and staff denied I ordered what I did, they became very defensive and did not let me get too many words in, so I hung up frustrated. Husband called and communication was very challenging. Again, the staff member was talking over my husband, didn’t give him many chances to speak and then when he did, he would interrupt him. He told my husband that I was a liar, and that I had hung up on him (I did hang up on him, which is disrespectful, yes, but I did out of frustration). My husband then ended up swearing out of frustration, which was our bad- we will admit that. The staff member finally offered us a refund if we returned the food untouched. Unfortunately I had eaten one roll (it was the correct item I had ordered, I just ended up with too many) so I ate it, as I was super hungry. So we said we had eaten that item and we would still pay for that (we did not expect a refund for anything we had eaten). He then refused. All in all a terribly disrespectful experience. The cold roll I had was good. My husband said his curry was on par with other places. Like I said this was my second bad experience with this restaurant getting take out. That will be my last time supporting this local establishment.

Terrible customer service!! Never experienced anything like it.Ordered take out from "The Vault" on Preston Ave, when we picked up our order one of the items was in the wrong bag and the owner had to run out to the vehicle to swap out for the right item before we took off. Upon arrival at home we realized that the remainder of the order was all wrong. We called back and spoke with the owner to try and notify them of the wrong items, after explaining what we had ordered and what we got instead, he proclaimed that he didn't screw up and that we were liars. I told him that in all my life I have never had anyone from the restaurant industry call me a liar before for bringing up an error, I believe that in most circumstances the customer is usually right and everywhere else that I have been will have no qualms to make things right. The last thing he wanted to do was to help us out, he went on to explain how he donates 10's of thousands of dollars as well as food to charities. I'll applaud him for that but really buddy you have the audacity to tell a customer that over the phone but yet you can't eat the cost of $25 to make the order right and keep a customer satisfied and happy. What a joker. I have never had to leave a negative review for any other restaurant in my life because any issues I have ever had were dealt with in a pleasant manner. The owner would not admit that he had made a mistake and carried on to call us liars in our conversation not once but twice!! We like supporting local places but we don't appreciate being treated as such, we will not be back to either location and I will make sure to spread the word.

0 stars, I couldnt even eat my noodle bowl, lettuce was red and wilted, and the meat was so dry it was like jerky. I can't believe they would serve this to people, the food was not fresh. Worst noodle bowl I have ever had.
