We just met the new owner of D’s Place. The place is now more sit down restaurant. (Silton lies close to Last Mountain Lake, offering a nice little escape from the city.) I recommend checking it out! It’s great to support local. The service tracks the same friendly, laid-back approach: you’re greeted like you’re part of the neighbourhood.

The new owner was amazing when I inquired about if they had gluten free fries. He assured me that they can do fries separately from the deep fryer, ensuring they are gluten free. When there was a mix up in the kitchen, he personally made sure that I got a new batch of fries made, and he took the time to explain and apologize for the inconvenience. For someone that is very reactive, it was awesome to have someone making sure everything was done right for my health.

This place is a hidden gem. The ice-cream is the absolute best and the taste is amazing. OMG - if your hungry, order the meat lovers pizza. You will not be disappointed. Thick and even more thick layers of meat and a thick layer of cheese. My favorite is their nachos. Seriously, the box lid can't close! The amount of toppings is incredible. Layers are perfect.

Been coming for years. Pizza, the special cheeseburger, fish & chips, and my personal favourite… the boneless ribs… are all FANTASTIC!!
Staff is always smiling and friendly. If you’re ever in the Silton area it is definitely a recommended place for a snack or full blown meal

The fish and chips were amazing!!! Staff was very friendly and I enjoyed our experience. I will be back!!!!
Went with my wife. Bought a fish n chips and 2 beers. Had to repeat my order 3 x to the kid on the till. Then he called over another kid to sell me the 2 beer. The 2nd kid asked who the other beer was for. I told him my wife. Then he proceeded to look out the window to get a look at her. Then he said we must drink it where he could see us. Then he told me not to drive! He was a zit faced 19 yr old at most. I'm 53 yrs old!, my wife is a few months older than me!! Lol. Why would you create such awkwardness for a customer? Then they forgot to give me my change. I thought i was in a tv comedy sketch 😆 Tell that kid how to act and the other how to take a simple order. Normally this place is good but if i get treated like that again i wont be returning. The fish n chips were good. The light beer wasn't very cold. My wife said the washroom smelled like cannabis. I wondered if it was staff lol
