Steak was not good, thin and full of fat. Next time would only come for drinks or something simple like a burger. Expected more from the place but it also sounds like owner ship may have changed since hearing about the place.

honestly super disappointed. we came for a date night (one of our first since being 4 months postpartum) and we were really excited as we heard good things and even saw it looks like a beautiful place for our wedding, but unfortunately i don't think it's a place you order steaks, they were super fatty and just not good. i was fine with not liking the food because it can just be personal preference but when we let the staff know they offered a new steak or a free dessert which just wasn't very appealing to us and i also didn't eat much of my steak maybe 5 bites total with one spit into the napkin..so i explained the situation, how we were excited and love the atmosphere of the restaurant and were even thinking of having our wedding there... they then gathered all the staff to discuss the situation where we could see and explained they had to call a manager because there was not one there i guess.. it was super awkward and uncomfortable for us, then to top it off, the lady said people come in there and try to get their meals for free which i explained that wasnt what we were doing at all... and i just would've appreciated some type of reconciliation, like free drinks or even $5 off lol.. just to say sorry and to incentivize us to give it another try... then she said she was going to take half off my steak but when she brought the bill, she didn't change a thing.. so i ended up paying full price which is fine, but for her to stand at our table for five minutes insinuating we were free meal seekers and making us uncomfortable and embarrassed around the other guests.. just not a nice experience obviously and ruined the whole experience.

We were in a little town about 20 minutes to the west we asked somebody there where it was a good restaurant.They pointed us here and I'm glad they did because it was delicious. The food was brought to us quick. The workers there were friendly the whole feel of the place was great.And felt inviting

My family gathered last Saturday evening to celebrate the life of my Mom (Mary Kezima Wick)who was born and raised in the Veregin community. Reservation communication with Ingrid was so easy and efficient. She also came to meet our group when we arrived for dinner and was so respectful and kind. We were allowed to set our celebration table with table scarves and photos. 🧡💐Our server Parmida was so attentive, efficient and kind. The service by an efficient team delivered meals that were tasty and presentation lovely. The thanksgiving menu was great!
I am so grateful for the staff and the meals they provided for us.
How fortunate people of the Stenen and surrounding community are to have access to this restaurant and all the other services provided in this “New Old School”.

What an incredible spot to find while working out of town. I have absolutely nothing bad to say. The food the service the building its all incredible. One of the best meals ive had in a very long time. The beef ribs were second to none. The pork spring rolls were home made and delicious. If you are reading this.. get in the car and go eat here.

Great atmosphere and top notch food. Rib-eye was tender and delicious. Cashew chicken bowl was scrumptious. Jason was a delight adding to the experience. It may be in a small village, but worth the journey. Regina food services should come and learn how to do it right

A Delicious Breakfast at Rawhides in Stenen My friend and I stopped for breakfast and had a wonderful experience. I had the eggs Benedict, and the hollandaise sauce was incredibly rich and absolutely perfect. My friend's bacon, sausage, and egg meal was also a hit—he said the bacon was cooked perfectly. The restaurant itself has a great, rustic atmosphere and feels very spacious. It's a fantastic place for a meal.
