Wonderful meal in this hidden gem. We were so pleased to see it open at this time of year. The food is always extraordinarily good.

As first timers we weren't sure what to expect but were overwhelmed by the total over the top experience in all ways! Service, ambience and of course the food were bar none the best. Thanks for a great experience

As usual an outstanding evening. The bottle of wine we ordered was not in stock so another bottle was offered at the same price. Food was so very good. Worth the price you pay.

Dined at Pietro's Sun 14 and Tue 16 Sep 2025. Food was exceptional, service outstanding and ambiance cozy. My wife and I travel to Waskesui at least once per season and always visit Pietro's to experience one of the very best restaurants in Canada. This is not a joke! A little restaurant in a sleepy little town next to a huge lake and surrounded by a pristine National Park really is that good. It's not all glitz and glamour with ivory tableware but it is for the discerning gourmet who relishes in exceptionally well prepared and truly delicious servings of simple, fresh, timeless, mouthwatering food washed down with a wide selection of very good wines. Over the course of two meals we had the Calamari Fritti, Jumbo Scallops, table-side Caesar Salad, Tenderloin Carpaccio, Sirloin Steak with Lobster, Fillet Mignon, Rack of Lamb and Pickeral. All the steaks are minimum 28-day dry-aged, fish was same-day catch and greens were local and freshly picked. Each dish, especially the Fillet, was simply outstanding with no flavour overwhelming the other yet became a harmonious blend which lit up the palate. We paired the plates with a Molly Dooker Shiraz, Ken Wright Pinot Noir, Arkenstone Cab and Astrolabe Sauvignon Blanc. All of them paired very well with the plates. We finished with white chocolate Crème Brûlée, Panna Cotta and Iniskillin Ice Wine! Meals were very well enjoyed and the attention to detail was much appreciated. The owner, servers, Maître De and Chef were constantly around to interact with patrons which made for an even more delightful evening. Pietro's in not a Mom and Pop shop where the food is (usually) mediocre at best nor a 3-star Michelin restaurant where the food is (usually) a spectacular culinary experience at $1500 per plate. Instead, it is an exceptional dining experience at a price point 2x that of the Mom and Pop shop but with 10x the quality, taste, ambiance, service, enjoyment and satisfaction - money very well spent! Best in Saskatchewan by far!

There were 3 servers in the restaurant and and each one took a lead on giving us superb service. Truly one of best in Saskatchewan. The only glitch was the overly salty mushroom ricotta. The flavour was great but hidden under the salt. Blackened Salmon was very good as was the lobster spaghettini. We drove there 1.5hrs one way to have diner and we will be back .

Amazing food and service! Love the open kitchen. Great wine suggestion to pair with our meals. I had the lamb and my husband had the beef special.

A fabulous dinning experience! Staff and servers are amazing, best restaurant I have ever been to in Saskatchewan!

Outstanding meal. As always Caesar salad prepared at our table was exceptional. Filet steak ordered medium was cooked perfectly to medium. Broccolini, side order lemon shrimp, fingerling potatoes all cooked perfectly. Others at our table ordered the risotto and the lobster spaghettini which were also very very good. Crème brûlée for dessert was a perfect ending to our supper out! It was a memorable evening! Highly recommended!

As always Restaurant Pietro remains a wonderful place for Italian food in Waskesiu. We have never been disappointed here. The food and wine on offer are always top notch. Excellent value for money for the quality of food served. Highly recommended.

Wonderful evening all around. Staff/service is top notch's food is 10/10. This was our first visit and we can't wait to go back! Table side Cesar salad is amazing.

We have been coming for about six or seven years. Usually six of us. This time must say our four filets from 6-8 0z were not the quality we have had in the past. Filets are one muscle cuts and ours all had two Cooked as we wished just more sub par for the price paid. Service was good but for about 20 minutes wait for our drinks. It was a full house but e has been and have had things move along in a timely fashion. Just expressing our experience this time since I was asked to write a review. We enjoyed our birthday dinner and never felt rushed.

Our entire evening was fabulous. Our table ordered a mix of different foods all excellent. Caesar salad was very tasty. Steaks done to perfection. Highly recommend the experience.

I love Pietro's! We had Ricardo and his service was amazing. Inviting and kind. The food is delicious and the hardest part is always deciding what to get because it is all so good.
