Wasn't busy. There was only 1 other table of I think 2 people. We ordered. Wait wasn't to bad for the food. Food was not even warm. The mac and cheese had 1 warm bite in the middle of the icecream scoop of them. The chicken in dressing wasn't warm. Food wouldn't be bad if they had seasonings and it was actually hot. My husband ordered the county fried steak and it wasn't warm either. I used to really like the place. It's less than 5 miles from my house but the food is going down hill. The mashed potatoes taste like box which is fine if they doctored them up some. The mac and cheese taste like Stouffer's or banquet that you get at kroger or Walmart. I really don't want to see this place close but it'd got to do better.
The waitress is super knowledgeable and always checked on us four people. One of us had the salad meal and it wss super good. Also the sandwiches we ordered turned out heaping large with side dish of fries. The strawberry dish was super for two people who ordered desert. My son and I were going to have desert called holy cow cake of course it is chocolate it couldn't het it. The last two pieces were gotten by a customer that was ahead of us l. But we shall return for sure. A bit expensive but the meals were large and worth it.
We’ve been going to Brunswick kitchen for the past year since we moved here. Our first few visits were amazing. The food was that country comfort treasure and the service was down home. Sadly, it’s been downhill ever since. The quality of food is hit or miss, some even feels like it’s frozen food off the truck. The catfish is good but way too expensive for what you can get at other places. The not your ordinary BLT definitely lives up to the name. The bacon is fried in whatever basket fries everything else and is nearly non existent. Some of this we could overlook but the customer service has been extremely disappointing. Servers that are more interested in their phones than to see if we might need napkins and cutlery to eat the food that was just plopped down on the table. We ate the whole basket of what tasted like burnt premade frozen fried green tomatoes without a fork or a plate. Finally got silverware when they served us our meal. We waited and waited for our server to stop by to see if we needed anything else or even just give us our check but she was too interested in flirting with the table of young men than give us the time of day. We finally just walked up to get our check and we even had to wait for her to talk to her coworker about a tv show or music or something else stopping several times during the payment processing to chat instead of finalize our visit. If you really want an old school feeling, great food, and free entertainment skip over and go to Barrettville General Store. We thought we’d give Brunswick one more shot and sadly there was no hint of improvement. Nice exterior improvements to the parking lot, etc. Perhaps now might be the time to do a check up inside. Gave them 2 stars because I think Brunswick is a great little spot but the food has declined significantly along with the service.
This is a very well done comfort food kind of place with a wholesome feel. I would strongly recommend the chicken and waffles. Expertly fried piece of chicken with the best Belgian waffle I’ve ever had. Crunch on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside with a strong hint of vanilla.
Such high hopes for this restaurant unfortunately, The Brunswick Kitchen II did not deliver. Chicken Fried Chicken was a chicken breast which was cut in half and roughly the size of a deck of cards. It was fried to the point of being burned and covered in a tasteless watery “pepper gravy” which was obviously not homemade. The mashed potatoes were old and barely warm, green beans were canned and cooked to mush, and the coleslaw was warm to the point of being almost hot. The cherry on top was the $1.95 surcharge for having the audacity to use a credit card on a $50 ticket. Portion sizes were ridiculously small and the food was practically inedible. This restaurant gives Southern comfort food a bad name. Will not be back!
Thomas Patton is probably the greatest server I have ever encountered. He ensured I was well taken care of and was genuinely happy to give a good dining experience. If you ever pop in make sure to request him and leave him a gracious tip (he definitely works hard for it)!
Finally found that down home country cooking place that feels like I've stepped back in time when I walk in. Food is delicious, service is great, and atmosphere is perfect. Best catfish in the area. Don't skip on breakfast though!!
The food was great and great service. I highly recommend. Taylor was our server and provided some of the best service we have ever received. I work in customer service so I always appreciate great service! The strawberry shortcake was delicious. I planned to only eat one bite but couldn’t bring myself to stop eating it. Thank you Brunswick Kitchen for a great night. We will be back. ❤️
Mine and my husbands first visit. We pass by this restaurant at least once every week. We have always wanted to stop and try their catfish. We did today. When we saw on the menu that you get one piece of catfish for $14.00 we said that is ridiculously expensive for one piece of fish. For two pieces it is an additional $4.00. Since we were already there we both ordered the Country Fried Steak. When I got my silverware my knife had food all over it and the knife was wet, obviously had just been attempted at being washed. I told the waitress. She brought me another one with no apology. When our food arrived my husband noticed that my meat had white gravy on it and he told the waitress that I ordered the brown gravy. She took it back to have it corrected. When she brought the plate back I ask could I get some butter for the one piece of cornbread. She didn’t ever bring it so I looked around and saw a bowl of butter on another empty table so I got it myself. As for the sides, the greens were good but tasted canned. As for the meat, it was way over cooked and the edge around the outside of the meat was hard and dry. For the price we paid we will probably never go back.
The Brunswick Kitchen makes me happy. Had dinner there tonight, and it was great, as always. Big old country fried steak with the brown gravy, turnip greens and black eyed peas. My sister got the brownie sundae and it was amazing! She shared with me, and it was really good. Great food, great service and a great time.

The Brunswick Kitchen never disappoints! My chicken fried chicken, fried okra and green beans were hot and delicious. Topped it off with a brownie sundae. Amazing!!! As always, the service was friendly and fast. We will definitely be back!
My wife and I were in town for a wedding. When we travel, we like to try and eat local and unique. This establishment not only meets those requirements, it also deserves more stars. We returned the following day for another round and will make sure to stop in every chance we get. Don’t change and don’t leave!!
Tried this restaurant for the first time while I was on break today and everything was delicious! I ordered the country fried steak with brown gravy, mac n cheese, fried okra, and mashed potatoes with brown gravy ??I also ordered the strawberry shortcake for dessert...it was ok, but definitely would've tasted better if frozen strawberries weren't used instead of fresh ones. The frozen strawberries made it to runny.I will definitely be returning if I'm ever back out on this side of town.
I must say I have somewhat of a guilty pleasure when it comes to chicken fried chicken... when I see it on a menu, the remainder of the menu ceases to exist.Well this one didn't dissapoint. Perfect ratio of seasoned breading and wonderfully tender chicken. Black eyed peas and fried okra were lovely as well.Friendly and warm service in a great country atmosphere.
My wife and I had breakfast here yesterday and walked out plump and happy. The portions were huge. I struggled to make a happy plate and came up 5 or 6 bites short. I hate wasting food but they don't have beds available for naps. Considering all the price hikes the food industry has endured the past two years I'd say hats off to TBK for providing good food and good service. It's evident they treat their customers and employees very well.
