The seating took a bit and they seemed busy which was ok. After taking our seat though it took well over 15 minutes to get our drinks and we were told “Sorry, we had a bit of a mess in the kitchen”. The lids were barely holding on, cups were half full, and the tea tasted sour like it had gone bad. We ordered the candied bacon deviled eggs and the jalapeño cornbread. When they arrived the eggs were clearly the bucket of preserved boiled eggs you can order from Sysco food distribution with a tougher egg white from sitting in preservative juice. We had to ask for napkins several times as we never received any or silverware to go with our appetizer, nor did we receive side plates. In addition to all of this our food took 50 minutes to arrive at the table and it tasted like it had been reheated/microwaved. Gumbo, mac and cheese, collard greens and the chicken tenders all tasted like they also came from Sysco and just heated up. I got the “Debris Sammich” which was supposed to have different types of meats and melted mozzarella with Au jus. The meat was extremely dry and of course just tasted reheated, and the Au jus tasted like water and was in a tiny ramekin that you most certainly could not dip a sandwich into in addition to not nearly enough of a portion for a sandwich. Our server was kind, just seemingly ill equipped to do his job. Overall, this dining experience was by far one of the most disappointing I have had in many years and we were really looking forward to this experience. My biggest suggestion to anyone looking, would be to seek elsewhere to spend your money, it is not worth it at all and will leave you feeling sick and sad.

Great lunch selections and very reasonable priced. The atmosphere is truly home town cooking. I’ll definitely be back for dinner.

Gumbo far better than most I’ve ever had. A Thick roux and spicy but not overwhelmingly so. Matched with some burger sliders it was a great lunch. My partner got the catfish sliders with a salad. All perfect lunch proportions that would leave room for dessert. Great service by our waitress, never let my glass of tea go empty. Enjoy.

We went to dinner for my wife's birthday and the food and service was great. We had a lot of different dishes. All were good and freshly prepared. Kids really enjoyed the macaroni and cheese. I had the bone in pork chop. We will be back soon.

Absolutely the worst food I have ever encountered nationwide. My plate was inedible. One bite and I'm sick and can not get that taste out of my mouth. Nobody ate their whole meal and everyone is sick now. Only nice thing I say is the tea was good. But almost $200 for horrible food is ridiculous.

Love what they did with the Old Vinegar Jim’s building . Looks greats
I will come back and add to this review on our next visit as I feel maybe this meal was just bad timing ..
We had the fried green tomatoes which were good , large contrast between the what was the hot tomato and the cold pimento spread .
Smoked chicken kabobs were fair , not cooked fresh but reheated as they were way overdone , sauce is very sweet and this isn’t smoked chicken it’s grilled . The collard greens were the star of this dish , generous portion , potatoes get kind of lost but saturated with the sweet sauce that comes with the chicken .
Crawfish lasagna , let’s just say I hope this is not the way it is all the time . It was microwaved to re heat and served as the cheese was all coagulated and everything in the dish was separated with what you would expect to find from the microwave . Last second ordered a couple cornbread muffins that were also re heated in a microwave , super soft , overly hot with a super sweet honey dipping sauce .
Other dinners food looked good so maybe I should have order a chop or a steak , next time .
We will gve them another shot and I’ll update this when we return .

I thought food was great the waitress was nice. Service was good and the atmosphere music is great. Great events great outdoor seating or having a drink also little one friendly, as they have a yard on the back patio area where the young ones can run and mom can have a moment and enjoy her lunch. Definitely recommend

This was our 3rd try - disappointed again. The steaks were dry & charred, the broccolini was not done & the garlic potatoes were cold.... and are they instant potatoes ??? Great atmosphere but the food is lacking.

My wife and I dined at TKT last night and had a fantastic meal and received fantastic service from Pam. It’s a very cozy spot in the heart of Arlington. Look forward to returning.
