Been eager to try out some local small town breakfast spots and this place surpassed my expectations. Menu leaves nothing to be desired and we all finished our plates. The biscuits and gravy stand to be called out for being a level above other places, you can tell care goes into them. Service was quick and the table chairs are very comfortable. If you don't mind eating at a place that looks a little worn in (Which you shouldn't if you go to places like this), it's a cozy vibe and worth trying out for breakfast and lunch.

We arrived at 8:00 a.m. on saturday (opening time) for breakfast and were seated when they unlocked the door shortly thereafter. Our order was taken and the waitress was fairly attentive. Most of the food arrived just before 9:00, which seemed like a long time considering we were the third table to be seated. I say most because they brought an omlette instead of a brekfast bowl. So, three of us began eating while they worked to fix the mistake. At 9:30 our 4th still didn't have his food so I went to pay at the register because we were ready to leave and Mama D herself was at the register. I kindly stated that we were still missing a plate, hoping to at least be offered a discount or at the very least an apology, but I was politely ignored. It was finally brought to the table at 9:40, an hour and a half after ordering. It's a shame, because the omlette I had was really good, as well as the gravy and hash brown casserole. 4 people, brekfast plate each, and $86 before tip. At $25 per person i just expect more.

It was slightly busy when we arrived, but with plenty of staff. We sat and waited 30mins for someone to even ask our drink orders. After that, the drinks came out wrong. Turns out, reading the reviews, this is a common occurrence and is unacceptable for a restaurant that has been around for years. Read your reviews, improve your process. We came from out of town and always try to try new local spots and this was a busy!

I came in with my children a few weeks before Christmas. We ordered some children’s breakfast plates and a Rueben. The service was a bit slow but it was busy and we enjoyed our time together so it wasn’t a problem for me. We got our food and it was GREAT! However when I received my bill I thought it was a bit high but paid it anyways. I didn’t think to ask for a receipt because the kids were ready to go. I went through the menu recently and added everything we ordered up and it was almost half of what I paid I made sure to deduct the tip and add taxes also. It was a $40 difference and I’m not sure how that happened or why.

Everything was excellent. The staff are extremely friendly and know the menu very well and obviously like working here and chatting with customers. Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. Fresh, tasty and excellent service. Really cannot ask for more from a quaint small town diner. 5 stars +++. I will definitely be back!!

After escaping Florida’s hurricane Milton, we landed in Tennessee and decided to eat breakfast at mama D’s. It was one of the most lovely experiences of our dining out… Fresh food, nice and southern styled! Really nice and I knew it was going to be so because it was crowded from locals!

Saturday morning 9:30. I understand you're busy, but waited 35 minutes before anybody ask about me and you water or coffee and everybody else in there too. Food was okay. Nothing special $26 typical breakfast. Two eggs. Small order of hash browns. Two biscuits of gravy two pieces of bacon. Generally you get three everywhere else. No drinks, just water. Waffle House. Same scenario except for that sausage gravy biscuits with and coffee and it's 28. Can you wait 10 minutes for everything. I like Mom and pops but I skip on this to me. Less are empty in your starving.
