Being new to the Bartlett Area, I decided to try a new Asian place last night. I used to delivery food for uber eats and I remembered this place being very popular. I thought I’d give it a shot. We spent (tip included) about $52 and some change…We ordered 2 different kinds of sushi. Both were very good. I ordered general Tso’s with a side of fried rice and an egg roll. The ER was small but tasty. The GT was good. The rice got me though. It lacked flavor. It was missing a heavy amount of sesame oil and soy sauce. It was made with very little egg, onion, peas and carrots.My fiancé ordered the steak hibachi dinner. The rice was the same. The steak? That’s what killed the whole thing. I’m a cook. It’s my job. I know steak. Whatever they gave my fiancé was definitely not steak. The fact that I couldn’t identify what kind of meat that was made me nervous. This experience made me heavily regret not sticking to my usual place. The value and the quality are not equal.

As someone that lives in the area but travels once or twice a month or so to Saint Louis for work, I always get my favorite chinese food there. Today my wife said she had a taste for chinese so we google and Asian Star pops up. We read the reviews (as usual) and about 90% of the reviews didn't disappoint. The atmosphere and service were spot on....the food however...was mid (hence 3 stars). Their rendition of yum yum sauce is decent. We got two orders of combination fried rice. Sorry to say but it is rather tasteless with hardly any flavor. The rice was undercooked and somewhat hard and crunchy; didn't know if I was eating rice or the onion in the dish. Had a decent amount of everything except shrimp. Nice spot but I'll continue to use my travel to grab STL rice. Pretty sure this is my last visit.

I like Asian Star because it’s close to where I live, so when I get a taste for Chinese food I know I can go there, place my order and know that whatever I get I will enjoy !! The service is always timely and the atmosphere is great.

Food is overpriced and undersized. I ordered a large house lo mein that feeds 3 at other places but this one barely fed one.
The most dependable and diverse menu. Always fast, fresh and friendly! Nothing but positive experience being a regular customer. If there ever was issue they fixed without question.
