My wife and I have been regular customers for quite some time, spending quite a bit of our hard earned money with this establishment. Food is great but service from a particular employee Flat out sucks BIG Time!!! I feel it’s because we are African American, because over the time we’ve frequented the restaurant, a particular tall and dark headed waiter always seemed to avoid waiting on us. I have also noticed how he is much nicer to white customers and even strikes up conversation with them, even volunteering information, almost like he was going out of his way to be nice to them. It’s not the tall younger guy that appears to work out but the other one who is usually always there. Quite frankly, on this particular day, around the weekend of September 20th, we were celebrating my Wife’s Birthday. We had a party of about 6 and his body language and facial expressions started off as if he did not want to wait on us. Each time we asked questions, he was very vocal giving us a lot of unnecessary feedback, one in particular was when my wife mentioned to him that the tea was not sweet enough, he said, we brew the tea fresh, so we can’t offer another cup sweeter. He went on to say there are sugar packs there, just put sugar packs in it to sweeten it. At that point , I had enough and asked him to take it off the check, but he kept interjecting, sure you don’t want anything else? He was placing items on the table as if he did not want to wait on us as seen in his body language. One of my guests ordered wings and a side, but the side was left off. When my guest asked where his side was, the waiter said wings don’t come with a side in a very unpleasant way. My guest said I understood that, and that’s why I ordered a side. By that time, my guest had had enough and told him not to worry about the side. But… the waiter again came back in an unapologetic way a couple of times that (I’ll get your side). This was the most unpleasant experience we have ever had here and the LAST because my wife and I will never patronize this business again. The waiter had to adjust one of the checks because it was wrong plus, he never returned to our table to take care of the checks. We had to walk to the register to pay our bill because of this. I asked for the manager on duty and he told me that the manager was not in that day. I did however express to him my disgust in his poor customer service. I’m sure if a manager or whoever manages this listing won’t respond and probably not even address this with the waiter, but just know That you have lost a regular customer. I WOULD NOT EVER RECOMMEND this restaurant to anyone and it was down right embarrassing to invite guests to celebrate my wife’s birthday and get such POOR service.

We love our restaurant El Idolo! And Andrea is the best! We go here at every two weeks to eat and enjoy everyone there, Eddie, Freddie, Fabio and all the rest of the staff. Never disappointed. We highly recommend El Idolo ?

Very yummy. There probably isn't a single item I wouldn't recommend on this menu. My one complaint is it was a little too greasy a few times, but the taste was still good.
Pretty family friendly as well. Their kids menu is huge, so there is something for just about anyone. Parking looks small from the street, but there is some behind the building too.
Place is closed. Website, and even on Google says it’s open. Some kinda Cajun place going in
