I got chicken nachos and was given uncooked cold chicken. Ended up getting food poisoning from it. Tried to call management a couple of times and left my name, number, and what happened. Still nothing

Ordered hamburger steak which was very good. Also ordered a fried chicken salad. Also very good with plentiful chicken on salad. Our waitress on this trip was exceptional. I'm glad we gave this restaurant another try. 👍

Have eaten at Fat Larry's several times and really do love the fried catfish. But tonight was the first time I've eaten a hamburger there. VERY DISAPPOINTED ! Meat was great - ordered medium and got what I ordered which was very delicious. But the sweet bun it was on was a big turn off . Who said a burger was better on a over the top sweet bread that absolutely ruined the flavor ? Only ate 3 bites of it before pushing it aside. I'll never order it again.

Excellent BBQ with warm and welcoming staff. I would highly recommend the muddy style ribs and the BBQ sauce is delicious. This place is on the smaller side so there can be a wait when they get busy. I also recommend going on the earlier side as they have run out of stuff on a few occasions.

I would say this place is a hidden gem but looking at all the reviews it seems people have caught on to how awesome it is. Not much to look at on the inside but that’s when you know you’re gonna get a great bbq meal! I had the burnt ends and they were a small portion size but still amazing and in the end with sides filled me up. 10/10 would recommend. Wish I could eat again and try everything on the menu.

We had reservations at 6:30 Saturday evening. Waited until 7pm and they blew us off. It has went downhill since the owner passed away. We will not be back.

This was my 2nd time in Memphis and made the effort to return to Fat Larry's. The atmosphere is fun and down-to-earth with a hospitable country vibe. We tried the BBQ Deluxe Sampler 2 and enjoyed all the meats and the sides--the beans were excellent!. The ribs were amazing, the chicken was very juicy and tender, and the pork was melt-in-your mouth wonderful. The staff are very friendly, and we enjoyed a conversation with our helpful server. The desserts are homemade and very good--our server made the chocolate cream pie. We look forward to a 3rd visit to Memphis and another meal at Larry's.
The food was not good. Not by a long shot. It is a family friendly environment but the food is horrible. I’ve been there twice and each time I left disappointed. Won’t go back. Learned my lesson.

Ashley was great! She was friendly, knowledgeable of the menu, and a great sense of humor. We felt welcomed to dine in at Fat Larry's. We ordered the deluxe sampler with 1/4 chicken, 4 rib bones, chopped pork and brisket. The food was tender but for me it was missing that hickory smoke taste or just that smokey grill taste...I hope that makes sense LOL. Hubby said it had a mild smoke taste. The burnt ends and skins were our favorite. Don't just take my word. Go and try it for yourselves 😄

The ribs were horrible. They were served cold and tasted like they were cooked 2 days ago and reheated in the microwave. Ive never had such a dry and tasteless rib.
