The best Sonic I have eaten at. Every time I have come my food has been hot and fresh and served by friendly car hops. They have a couple of screens that won't let you tip while under service orders, so bring a little cash to tip an awesome team
We stopped to get a couple of ice cream cones. But they didn't have any cones so we got small hot fudge sundaes which were delicious as usual. But sometimes you just want a vanilla cone that was disappointing.
It was Labor Day weekend and we were driving along Highway 411 looking for a place to have a burger. After a couple of disappointing stops (wait times) we fixed on Sonic. We pulled into the drive-in, but opted to get out of the car and sit in the setting sun at one of the outdoor tables. We were in small town Benton and the mildness of autumn was in the air. We ordered cheeseburger combos with tater tots and waited for our food in a miasma of nostalgia. Small Town by John Cougar...
