Vittles has been here in Brentwood for a long time and is always consistently good. It serves classic southern fare and has that old restaurant feel...almost like you are walking into a small hometown diner where everyone is a regular. We stopped here recently for lunch and had the chicken sandwich and hamburger steak with sides. They have a wide selection of sides and we got black-eyed peas, mashed potatoes and lima beans. The portions are large and everything was excellent. If you are looking for familiar comfort food, this is a good place to go. Friendly staff and easy parking.

Have been enjoying lunch here for about 13 years. Close to work, good food and good service! I do miss the Blue Plate special! However the food is still reasonably price! And you get plenty of food!

Super sticky floor, out of soda, received a chicken sandwich with salad on top because they were out of lettuce. I seriously took the bun off the chicken sandwich and there was salad on top with complete with radishes, carrots, a slab of cold white cheese and bacon even though I never smelled any bacon being cooked. They told me that the cook had sneaked out for a smoke break.
