POSITIVESFood was very good. We loved their house sauce! Food did come out quickly. Plenty of parking.NEGATIVESIt was dinner time, so definitely a bit busier but that still doesn’t mean customer service should be lacking. Felt rushed even though this was our first time there.Friendliness and a little help with suggestions on the menu (or even just patience) goes a long way— especially being a new local spot.

While management is pleasant, it does not make up for the food which is mediocre at best- a real disappointment. I'd hoped to love this place!

Just very uncomfortable setting. Service could of been better. Me and my family just felt very out of place and judged for wanting to try out "a great place to eat " very uncomfortable.

Excellent fried chicken and chicken tenders. The sides offered and we chose were delicious too! Service was great too! Highly recommend this place.

Kid-friendliness: Casual atmosphere for families. Kid options include chicken tenders. With service so fast, there is little wait time for anxious ones. And there are cookies for a treat!

Waldo's is very mediocre at best for a chicken and fries place. It is similar to Zaxbys and McDougals. The chicken is a bit dry but the sauces are delicious and a must try. The service was abysmal as we sat at the bar and had to beg for someone to give us drinks. The restaurant is always packed with teens and young families so it is a very welcoming environment.

Wow, that was excellent for lunch. Chicken was awesome and Tex sauce was over the top. Only downer was the bathroom, pretty gross and dirty. Need to fix that. Paul W.

What is up with the takeout service at this location? No one will answer the phone for curbside pickup so not sure if they really want to provide that anymore. Check your order because ours have never been correct. When you ask for the items they forgot to include (sauces, fries, etc.) you may get attitude as a bonus item for no charge. Annoying because, in general, we like the food.

We went to this place because it was new and heard it was a chain! We were kind of disappointed... but the rocket sauce burger was really good!!!! That is definitely recommended, but anything else, it wasn't good and wasnt bad. It was so hard to order the cashier was kind of hard to understand, its probably my fault for not hearing but thats not why i gave such review. The food wasnt standing out to my taste... it tasted like gas station fast food. But the biscuit was fantastic!!!! We love that!!

Holy smokes! This place was GREAT! The chicken can compete with the BEST of Nashville and the service was wonderful. This is now a regular in our family's rotation - perfect for grown ups and kids!

Jaw dropping lack of customer service. Seriously, this place is run by a high school soccer team who could care less whether there are 10 dirty tables while there are 15 people standing in line with nowhere to sit. After cleaning our own table while "the boys" stood around and shook up sauce containers, one of them finally woke up to come pick up our table number stand BEFORE our food was delivered! They thought it was funny bc I watched and heard them laughing about it. And don’t bother complaining to the manager because based on his demeanor, he could care less also. What hot chicken place is out of blue cheese at 6:30 on a Friday night? Worst customer service ever, don’t go here!

Alabama native Mark Waldo founded this franchise in 2019 when it debuted in Nashville's Germantown neighborhood. So it's rather remarkable that in five year's time, they've rapidly expanded to 14 locations across seven states, all located in the Southeast except their Denver-area store. Just three months after Brentwood's beloved BurgerFi closed its doors in the CityPark development, Waldo's thankfully took over the coveted space and opened its fifth location in Middle Tennessee in mid-November of 2023. Offering classic southern dishes with a distinct emphasis on chicken, you'll get a sizable meal for about $15 per person and a wide range of menu options. THE GOOD Waldo's makes their food fresh every morning, and the quality is evident. "The Roost" sandwich might be the best thing on the menu. While I far prefer fried chicken to roasted or grilled, this rotisserie chicken sandwich is sensational with very tender chicken and tangy white sauce. While their Alabama white doesn't taste as good on its own, lacking the optimal balance of ingredients like the versions at competitors Martin's and Edley's, it actually works perfectly in the sandwich over the chicken and pickles on a bun beautifully soft on the outside and toasted on the inside. The chicken tender sandwich is probably a close second, with crispy strips of chicken accentuated by pickles and sauce. THE BAD Unfortunately, at all Waldo's locations, while the batter is properly crisp the chicken tends to be very dry and never juicy. Admittedly, it's a difficult art to master. I've worked on this with my own deep fryer at home for years before getting it right. The fries are tasty but always soggy at any Waldo's, possibly fried only once when they should always be double fried. The blue cheese dressing is just odd with a green hue and unusual taste. One of their off-menu items is a basket of six cheddar biscuits. But we're not fond of the super sweet taste, closer to an overly sugared cornbread than a classic southern biscuit. Waldo's is far from the best chicken in town with so many amazing versions across Nashville. But it's certainly a satisfying meal and good food for the price.

Excellent food! This place has quickly become one of my favorite chicken restaurants. The chicken tenders, nachos, fries, collard greens, and banana pudding were all extremely good, and there was only a small issue with a couple sauces being missing and one in the wrong box which I completely understand since this opened very recently and that can be hard to manage. Other than that, they have their act together for takeout and it seems like a nice environment to dine in.
