Yard Birds Hot Chicken

The gentleman who helped us as first time customers was excellent and we enjoyed our meals. It wasn’t super fast service (which we are OK with, it wasn’t super slow either), but it seems like it falls somewhere between fast food and a dine-in restaurant. No one waiting on tables necessarily but the host checked in on us and helped refill our drinks, bring different sauces, etc.

Chicken and fries were delicious!! Southern has good flavor, chipotle isn’t that hot so if you want a kick get habanero or scorpion! Lemonade was also good but a little on the tart side

As a Nashville native and long time hot chicken enjoyer, this place is my new favorite. The service is great and the food is delicious. I’m normally a bone in guy but their tenders are killer. Spice levels are great. And their sidewinder fries are a welcome change to the traditional crinkle cuts. Best fries in town. They are mostly a lunch spot now but definitely worth checking out.

That was fantastic! We got the tenders and tried each heat level. Perfect amount of seasoning and heat.

Only been once and have not been back since. The food tastes good, but I found two different hairs in my plate alone - they apologized but still it grossed me out. Their hours are kinda weird now too. It’s odd that they are closed on the weekends and even on the weekdays when they are open, they close early at 6:30pm.

In the area today so I thought I’d check this place out. When asked what heat level I asked for their mid level. The wings were ok and I think I’d recommend to ask for their hottest level of you decide to try. I didn’t find my wings to have any kick to them.

I had the tenders. I did 2 with Trinidad Scorpion and 2 Chipotle. They use a dry rub once the chicken has been fried. I honestly couldn't tell the difference in flavor. The spice level of the Trinidad Scorpion was not very spicy. I think it just had more of the dry rub than the Chipotle. Definitely not Nashville Hot Chicken. The service and people were great and the dining area was clean.

Great food! My family and I are there when we were in Nashville a few weeks ago. The catfish was awesome, as were the turnip greens. Of If I didn’t live in Dallas, TX- I’d drive back there, just for the food!

This place is solid. The tenders are excellent, with a very light breading which doesn't cover up the chicken. I ordered the third level of spicy, and it could have been a little hotter, but the flavor was great. Service was excellent.

Went in for a late lunch around 2. Everyone was super friendly! And the food OMG! I had the chicken tacos and they were huge and filling and best thing I have eaten in a while!!! My husband had tenders and sidewinders. Chicken was huge and hot (had to give it time too cool down) and the potatoes were hot and crispy and fluffy!!! We will be back! Maybe even again this weekend!

This place is really nice and the service is good. However, there is no way to call or place orders via the website. I made them aware that the phone is not working and the website is not accepting orders and that was over a month ago. The phone is still not working and neither is the online ordering system. It's an inconvenience when trying to place a big lunch order. I've giving service 1 star for the reason described above but they are really fast at fulfilling orders. Please fix one or the other............
