We just happened upon this place through a quick Google exploration without any expectations. Located on a dark side street in Downtown Bristol, the Bistro is a warm and inviting small place with great service, excellent drink selections- especially bourbon and cider!- and a limited but well executed menu. We split the Tarragon sauced Filets accompanied by homestyle mash potatoes and French green beans flecked with pork belly?. All tremendous. Add the beet salad and caesar salad...
My family and I love everything about this place. The ambiance is cozy but trendy. Everyone who works there is a pleasure to be around. The food will change your life. It's a little pricey, but completely worth it. We gladly drive 40 minutes to eat here.
This place has a very quaint appearance. The food was great. The staff are very friendly and super efficient. The pickle board appetizer was awesome. But wouldn't pair it with the shrimp and grits. The saltiness of the pickles are a bit much when combined with the salty Creole. AGAIN. Both are great. Just not together.
Only negative was the bourbon prices. We do look forward to a return visit. Samarah, one of our servers, was awesome.
