We visited around 2pm on a Saturday and the place was empty. It's dark and mysterious, just like the bartender. (Cool dude, but I forgot his name.) The beer is exceptional, the music is eye-opening, and the conversations are insightful. They even turned me on to a new band, Castle Rat. š¤š» Super cool brewery sticker as well, which they gave us for free. If I'm ever in Bristol again, this is the first place I'm going for a beer.
The *spot*. Great in house beers, great shifting menu of various craft brews, and vibe is always friendly and relaxed.Great owner, staff, regulars, art shows. If you donāt drink at Elderbrew, youāre missing out on beers you might never try otherwise, making new friends, seeing great art, discovering new music, and a community spot dear to many of us.Love you, Elderbrew <333
Best brews, best atmosphere, best alternative bar for anyone looking for something with personality outside the typical bar. Very cool that Elderbrew has alternative bands, local art, and special events like Imminent Collapse Festival. Number 1 beer recommendation, "Black Lodge".
Exactly what Bristol needs. Alternative space with exceptional brews.
Great spot!
After a full-ride on The Creeper Trail, my partner and I wanted to stop in Bristol on our way back to Asheville and check out a cool brewery. Elderbrew had some amazing-sounding taps, so we set our Google sights on them. It was Sunday, and according to their hours, they opened at 4 pm.Upon arriving there, however, the sign on the door plainly said they were CLOSED on Sunday. So I can't speak to the beer selection or quality. PLEASE be a responsible business owner and update your Google page. It was a deviation from our route to come here and made for a quite frustrating afternoon.
Cool atmosphere, but the beers just didnāt measure up to our tastes this time. If we end up in the area again we may check to see if there are some different taps we might like.
Come here if you're looking for an alternative experience in Bristol.
Good music...definite throwback. Solid selection even if your tastes go more to cider.
Love the aesthetic and the beers! Highly recommended!

If you like beer, or metal on vinyl, make a point to stop in.
10/10 I'll definitely be going back.
