All 3 plates that were ordered were a total disappointment. Mine tasted as if the entire salt shaker had been dumped on it. My sons and grandaughters were the same. The waitress dident refill drinks not even once. It took at least 20 min for her to take yhe order. All around horrible expierence. I will not go here again, and there are a lot of other choices around this restaraunt.

I got the chili relleno with rice & beans. Meh. Their interpretation of chile relleno was a little shredded pork with a ton of cheese on top...? No chile whatsoever. Rice & beans were ok.

I do not normally leave reviews but felt I would be wrong if I didn't. Me and my family eat at La Carreta often. It is our go to family restaurant. We've had many great servers and the food is always so good. But we had Noah last night as well as one other time the first time he was extremely busy if I do recall and still managed our little family perfectly. Last night was just as lovely he is very attentive, respectful, and just a great server all the way around. Noticed when my child's drink was empty and had already brought a refill before we even noticed it was empty. I also believe he is the only server who doesn't wait till I have a mouth full of food to ask me how the food is 😂 I highly recommend this location and the server. I just wanted to take the time out of my day to acknowledge how much I appreciated the service!

Food was good, service not so much. I am normally not one to complain, as I’m a current waitress myself, but I have to make this aware to some people. The waitress I had was sweet but she only took our order, took a minute to bring us our drinks, then only checked on us once after all of that. She did not run the food to our table, which most servers run their own food. My main issue with this whole thing, is I was waiting on her to come by so I could tell her I needed a to go drink for me and my mom. I was sitting at my booth and she comes through the door with her car keys, a tumbler, and a bag of food in her hand, sits down at a booth close to me, then proceeded to get on Snapchat, and didn’t even come check on us. I didn’t even know she left the restaurant. She had given us our check fast in the middle of us eating and I never saw her again until she sat down near me and got on her phone. Please teach your servers to check on their tables, service needs to be up to par in ALL restaurants, and it’s not up to par here. As I said, I normally don’t complain but as a waitress myself, I think the managers need to crack down on the servers, and implant better service.

If you decide to eat here there are a few things to be aware of.
1. Their menu prices are not current. You will absolutely be charged more than menu prices for some items. If you tell them that they will refuse to honor the menu price. This happened on two occasions fairly recently. On one occasion they lied about honoring it and adjusted the gratuity to hide the fact.
2. Their specialty drinks are not mixed correctly. Either overly sweet or overly sour.
3. The wait staff will forget to bring things to your table. Normally that's not a big deal if you see them again before you finish your food.
4. The food is mediocre most of the time. Its not bad, but its not great either.
5. The food is over priced for the quality they serve lately.
If you want a better experience for less or the same money, go to Puerto Nuevo. La Carreta used to be much much better than they are now.
