I think this is the best Mexican restaurant in the area. The food was excellent and the portions were huge. I will definitely make the drive from Patis to Carmelitas when I want Mexican food from now on.
Got the Carmelita Nachos, they were delicious, and quite plentiful. Everything on the menu sounded fantastic, and everything delivered to other tables looked as good as what we enjoyed. Will definitely be back
I’ll start by saying the food is awesome! Which is the only reason we gave it a second chance. The service is painfully awful. Both times we have been there we have had to ask for drink refills and chip refills multiple times before we ever get one. The first visit, they were pretty busy so we just chalked it up to being short staffed. Gave it another try last night and service was worse than before and they were not busy. Had to ASK for chips AFTER we got our cheese dip. Chips...
