I was so excited when I heard Carmelita’s was moving to East Wood Street! I’ve been a fan of their food for a while, and this new location does not disappoint. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and you can really tell it’s a family-run business that cares about its customers. The food is just as authentic and delicious as I remembered—definitely some of the best Mexican cuisine in the area. If you haven’t been to the new spot yet, you are missing out!

Our fav: Chicken Fajitas, Rice and we love the chips! Not too salty and not too hard. Can’t wait to try all the new salsa flavors.

I think this is the best Mexican restaurant in the area. The food was excellent and the portions were huge. I will definitely make the drive from Patis to Carmelitas when I want Mexican food from now on.
