Got the fried catfish. It was good, but the spicy was better. Hushpuppies were awesome, very soft.

Great spot for fried catfish. Been going here from time to time for as long as I can remember. Food is served family style.
Seating was quick on a Sunday afternoon. Took a while to get our entrees, but we were attended to pretty well while we waited.

We have been a customer for fifty years and yesterday 12-28-25 I stopped and got theee pieces of fish to go.When we got home the fish was so full of grease and mostly crust. It was the worst tasting catfish that I have had in years.Had we been dining in I would have sent it back.I wasn’t give. A reciept and as we live in Mcewen it would have been useless.
Don’t know if we will ever come back again.

Food was horrible. We haven’t been there for a while and nothing is the same. Food was so greasy and had no flavor. We didn’t even finish our meals. French fries were cold and soggy. Shrimp was completely bland.

I've been coming here since I was a kid in the 90s and sadly this will be the last time I ever will eat here again. I'm very disappointed in the food . I think a prison or hospital cafeteria would probably have better tasting food. The breading on the fish was a horrible bland batter I miss the cornmeal batter that it used to be and should be on a good southern catfish. My lemon slices and pieces of white onion was the best part of my meal. I wished I could say that I recommend this place but I honestly cannot.

The service was great but the food was not. The hush puppies were the best part of the meal. The spicy cat fish was awful.

Best catfish. If you go home hungry it's your fault because there is plenty of food served.

Fantastic down home dining experience !!! We drove out from south Nashville to try this place. It is definitely worth the drive . Catfish was exceptional honestly it was all great. Our server was top notch. Even at the end of the night she never let us run out of anything. 10/10 we will return.

Sure isn't the same place that it was when the older nan owned it. We tried it again for the 3rd time...it was not a charm. Fish came out uncooked and had to be sent back to be cooked, and the batter really didn't have any flavor. Fries were greasy, won't be back.
