You book a table for 2pm Thanksgiving meal, prepare for standing in the queue for at least 1 hour! Whoever organized this, I would kindly ask, how did they think this will work??? All this for average food.

I went for breakfast this morning for the first time. I really love the atmosphere first of all. I had breakfast and the service was great. My waitress had worked there for years. The food was great. I definitely think someone should check this out. I plan to come back.
My husband and I had our wedding and reception at Lake Acorn Pavillion at Montgomery Bell State Park in October. Prior to and during our wedding, Diana Burfield ( Lodge event coordinator) assisted me in coordinating services and answering all of our questions. She is friendly, responsive and knowledgeable, which helped ease the stress of wedding planning. We stayed in the Lodge on our wedding day. The Lodge and Lake Acorn Pavillion are very clean, updated and have amazing views. The front desk staff were friendly. We had our wedding catered/bar service provided by Montgomery Bell State Park Lodge. The food and drinks were delicious. Staff member- Rachel assisted in food and beverage services. She was friendly and efficient. Lodge staff members (I'm sorry, I don't remember their names) set up and tore down the fireplace, tables, chairs, plates, goblets, silverware, drapes, the buffet and bar. I appreciated these services as it required less work from me and my family on our wedding day. We had a beautiful wedding thanks to the staff at The Lodge at Montgomery Bell!
We visited the park over the weekend and ate three times in the restaurant, supper Saturday night, had catfish and white beans and nachos, they were great! Breakfast Sunday, had the country ham plate, ham was way overcooked on one end and almost not cooked enough on the other, scrambled eggs were pretty much fried and browned, potatos were very good though. Lunch, had probably the worst hamburger ever, way overcooked to the point of where it was dried out and crumbly, fries were the champ of that meal, club was excellent though (no cooking required I'm guessing). Talked to the manager after I paid full price, she tried to make it right but I refused, told her to talk with her chef. Last time we were here, the food was always good, guessing a new chef maybe? Hopefully they will figure it out as it's a great place to visit!

Awesome spot for your next big event! Whether it’s a wedding, company picnic, or birthday party!
Had a wonderful lunch overlooking Acron Lake. Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and Shrimp and Grits were both great entrees. Sarah was a super great server. Great personality and smile. Keep it up

We are staying at two nights at the lodge, as my husband is attending the governors conference. The staff has been amazing! They are welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. Everything is clean, the food is amazing, and the service is excellent! Drea was the best!! We’ve had such a great time that I am coming back next week with two of my granddaughters. Thanks for a great experience!
We recently stayed at the lodge. We loved being able to kayak, fish & pedal boat. It was so much fun. The restaurant and bar is decent! Jesse the manger of the kitchen was helpful and was so nice. Now for the bad, no microwaves in the room. So you have to go down each time you need to heat/cook something. The pool is absolutely disgusting. It needs redoing, you can see the mold and broken tiles on it. Which is absolutely not safe. Several people had their feet either cut and bleeding or gashed. For the grounds keeping, they need to do more on mowing, keep around the pool and other places cleaned. They have weeds growing through things and nasty! It was just remodeled in 2022, there’s absolutely no reason for the pool to be in that condition nor the grounds keeping.
The staff and food was Amazing!!!No white supremacy here.Just down to earth and beautiful nature. We will be back❤️
Was here in the fall and had a wonderful time. The weather was a drizzly 60 degrees with peak color foliage that really made for a cozy time. Breakfast was great. The paddle boats really added to the nostalgic atmosphere. One of my favorite places.
This lodge holds ANNUAL white supremacy gatherings. This lodge is not family or kid friendly. Stay away!
