My family and I visited Camden, TN from the Chicagoland area and LOVED the shack. Don was so helpful, fun to chat with, and makes incredible food. We loved the Shack so much we had to go two times for more amazing BBQ! We had it all… Ribs, Pulled Pork, Chicken, Bologna…. Don’t forget the homemade Mac and cheese and the BBQ sauce. Thank you Don! And you’ll be happy to know we listened to the Screaming Cheetah Wheelies last night… will be adding to my playlist! What a little gem of a restaurant!

After a rainy week of camping, I googled a place to eat as we drove through Camden and saw rave reviews for The Shack. It turns out that they weren't actually open, but after chatting with a man at the smoker for a few minutes, Don offered some sides he had prepared in the cooler and heated up some pulled pork for sandwiches. We had a picnic at a local park and it was all delicious, but the potato salad and cole slaw were about the best I've ever had! Thank you, Don, for feeding weary travelers your delicious barbecue on your day off! We'll be back one day! :)

the owner treated us like family while we were there! my burrito was out of this world, and my son is in love with the Mac and cheese! if you are in Camden and craving BBQ, pay them a visit!
