“My family and I visited Camden, TN from the Chicagoland area and LOVED the shack. Don was so helpful, fun to chat with, and makes incredible food. We loved the Shack so much we had to go two times for more amazing BBQ! We had it all… Ribs, Pulled Pork, Chicken, Bologna…. Don’t forget the homemade Mac and cheese and the BBQ sauce. Thank you Don! “Good all-around restaurant, nice people work there. The food is better than surrounding areas Chinese restaurants. The atmosphere is a little bit more American than some of the restaurants that has more Chinese decorations and Chinese music, etc. which is no complaint from me. I’m there for food. There’s only a few restaurants in Camden I eat at anymore due to either poor food quality or expensive prices where you don’t get what you paid for. This place is a good all-around choice. Happy medium on price and good food.“

“I drove one hour west of my home to dine here for a second time. The food is delicious and authentic, and the ambience simple, spacious, and welcoming. I arrived late afternoon and had the opportunity to chat with my server who was also the owner’s daughter. This wonderful family moved from the Dominican Republic 16 years ago and brought with them some very original versions of Mexican cuisine. The chips and salsa are incredibly flavorful and delicious, and I enjoyed the generous fish tacos crafted with large chunks of fried Tilapia and made in traditional fashion. The black beans and rice are wonderful. I enjoy returning here because the staff isn’t rushed, and they take excellent care of their customers. This is a place where you can linger, relax, savor every bite, and let the frenzied world of Nashville pass you right on by!“
