When you spend that much money on renting a house boat, you kind of expect certain things. Like, screens in the windows. We wanted to windows open but only 3 had screens in them. So bugs kept flying inside. Which makes things miserable.
We had to run the generator 24 hours a day (which your not supposed to have to). Because the lights and refrigerator that were supposed to work on battery power, DID NOT! so it was more expensive then it should have been because we had to use way more gas than normal. Also, Houseboats are supposed to have emergency life jackets. But they didn't have one emergency life jacket on a boat that slept 8!
And for safety reasons you have to have another boat with a motor. So we rented a John Boat. It was EXTREMELY damaged to the point it was dangerous . You could easily slip and get cut on the edge where someone had wrecked it and it never got fixed. I'm surprised they let people use that boat.
Also, I understand that the house boat will have spiders and such. But it would have been nice if they would have knocked down all the spider webs before each renter. Like I said house boats cost way too much to deal with all that BS.

Staying in their motel rooms was an experience. Upon initially walking in, I was greeted with cobwebs and rodent droppings on the bed. The smell was damp and moldy. Our first night we were woke by the sound of rodents going through our food. They got into most everything left on the table. The next day we said something at the marina and were told “welcome to the country”. We had to get storage totes to put our food and belongings in. On day 3 they brought us some mouse traps. It became a nightly ritual with my children of mouse hunting. We purchased towels to stuff in all the holes in the walls to try and keep the rodents out (didn’t work). There were plumbing issues (leaks and no water pressure). This is the first time I was happy to leave the lake. We would have left on day 1, except a few other families were staying in the nicer cabins and motels. I would not stay in motels 22-27.

These people are so kind and helpful!! Great place to stay. We had to leave early due to weather and couldn't use boat so they didn't have to but they did give us a refund. Extra easy check in. I give this place 10!! Thank you soooo much!!

We rented a houseboat from Cedar Hill Marina for a Monday through Friday. From the first call to make reservations to the final checkout process, the entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to make our vacation absolutely wonderful. The houseboat ran perfectly and was clean, comfortable and well-appointed. This end of the lake is more quiet and is absolutely, breathtakingly beautiful. I've been all over the world and this is one of my favorite trips ever. Highly highly recommend Cedar Hill Marina!!

I stayed in Cabin 18 from August 4-6th for a long fishing weekend. I'll start by stating this is a FISHING cabin - not the Ritz. The furniture is vintage 1970s. That said - the cabin was spotless when I arrived and smelled fresh. Everything worked flawlessly. Two things I look for in a weekend cabin - (1) HOT water for a shower, (2) COLD air-conditioning. This cabin knocked it out of the park on both ! My slip was right on the front of A-dock which made getting in and out a piece of cake. The ramp is okay, but there are some small potholes in about 2 ft of water - so take note when backing down. I rarely write reviews but Anna and Audrey were awesome and I HIGHLY recommend Cedar Hill Marina for a weekend of fishing or just cruising the lake.

I love Dale hollow lake. We put our boat in at boat launch. Cabin rentals over looking the lake. I have not rented a cabin yet.
